Part of Article I Section 8, and all of Sections 9 and 10, which address things like habeas corpus, nobility, and militias, are gone from Congress's website for the Constitution.

The change was spotted by users on Lemmy, an open-source aggregation platform and forum.

Way to go everyone! We got noticed! And for something good this time!

Why would that be a bad thing?

I am not into that stuff, but I don’t give a shit if someone else is. That is the difference between being a good member of a community and being an overbearing asshole.

We don’t need or want more overbearing assholes.

So … my furry friends, feel free to keep up the good fuckin work.

          Yeah…

The thing about Lemmy is that it’s not yet large and active enough for me to have a curated community list like I did on reddit, so I end up seeing all kinds of stuff I would not have subbed to.

Am I in the wrong instance? Because I’m actually having a hard time finding the porn on here. It didn’t show up when I was on Lemm.ee and it isn’t showing up now.

Kinda miss my lewd niche subreddits.

There are definitely some porn instances. It’s possible you just have NSFW content turned off without realizing it though. I had to block several instances and communities to get all the porn off of my non-porn account.

We’ve learned that this is due to a coding error. We have been working to correct this and expect it to be resolved soon.

either someone over engineered the page in such a brittle way that it would make AI agents proud, or this is a lie.

Trump has the “original” in the oval office with him. I put that in quotes because it seems quite likely he’ll try to steal or destroy it in the next three and a half years.

There’s probably Saudis and other interested parties that would pay top dollar for it, so why not.

Edit: wait, actually I think it’s the declaration of independence in the oval office.

“Doing Something Actually Useful” and “What Passes For A Left In America” is not what I’d call an iconic duo

We’ll get more signs, and the few television programs that still allow criticisms of Trump will make the same few tired jokes about him.

Ah, the tearing up of the constitution has begun, as predicted.

First it will be excuses of bugs and a lapse in judgement.
Next it will be said to be done to clean up wording to make things readable. Finally a blatant reasoning is given that those passages are outdated and not deemed required for a modern American population. The new constitution will be a far more efficient document is what they’ll say.

      From another comment…

“My sight is failing,” [Clover] said finally. “Even when I was young I could not have read what was written there. But it appears to me that that wall looks different. Are the Seven Commandments the same as they used to be, Benjamin?”

For once Benjamin consented to break his rule, and he read out to her what was written on the wall. There was nothing there now except a single Commandment. It ran:

ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS

    What constitution?

Nothing Happened on Lafayette Square, 2025.

    ---

And if it did, it was violent CRIMINAL ALIENS RIOTERS organized by HUNTER BIDEN’S LAPTOP! Our AMERICAN MADE TANKS restored LAWww and Ordar. TREMENDUS, TREMENDUS show of strength…

    context

trump once said: “When the students poured into Tiananmen Square, the Chinese government almost blew it. Then they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength. That shows you the power of strength. Our country is right now perceived as weak.”
