It would make the day even holier.

When people are struggling to get by and exhausted from the news, they end up focusing on themselves. The reality is most Americans don’t have the energy, time, or resources to focus on something that’s disconnected from their lives - including attrocities on the other side of the planet.
But gas prices hit HARD. When you’re spending 20-30% of your income on gas and the price of that gas doubles, it’s a problem even before it makes everything else skyrocket in price.

I swear to God that Word exists to make us feel better about Outlook.

You ask people online and get 78 different answers, then get caught up in decision paralysis and stick with windows.

I took it as “I voted against a bill that would cut off defensive munitions funding but not offensive munitions funding.”

It’s harder to tell a woman she’d be prettier if she smiled if you can’t see her mouth.
Well at least it’s a calm, painless illness prior to death, right?
Good thing rabies is easily treatable if you don’t bother with testing, right?

Public funding of unbiased news is complicated. That can very easily turn into propaganda if the government can decide what is or is not biased. In fact, any arbiter of bias can turn it into propaganda. But if there’s nobody who can regulate it, then biases will go unchecked, all while being paid for.
I don’t know where the balance is. PBS is great, but I think it’s because their funding also includes private donations from individuals who value their product.

Aaron lot of out infrastructure still uses floppy discs.

What I learned from Covis is that we definitely won’t be solving or surviving the environmental collapse.

But meeting the US’s requirements doesn’t prevent products from being sold in Europe.
It’s the same reason film studios started pandering to China and why frying pans sold in Florida have a cancerous materials warning label that’s only required in California.
Companies cater to restrictive regulations in major markets because those products are still legal in less-restrictive territories.

Yes, but the US is a huge, profitable market. And companies will bend over backwards to appease Nazis so long as it’s more profitable to do so than not.
Within the US we have issues with all the US History books being written to comply with Texas’s “slavery was actually good for black people” bullshit because Texas is such a big market and everybody wants in on it.

If the US government bans Graphene, Motorola will drop them in 1/1000th of a heartbeat.

Dude - I am a gun enthusiast. I have over 50 of them.
I have 3 different 30.06 rifles (Remington 700, Springfield M1903, and M1 Garand). I’ve killed animals with 30.06, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308, 44 mag, 7.62.54R, .270, .223, 9mm, .357 magnum, 10mm, 12-gauge, 20-gauge, .22 rimfire, and more. I know a thing or 2 about this shit.

I’ve shoot dozens of deer with a 30.06, and they also don’t explode if you hit them in the neck. The round will pass through something that soft at that range without expanding or tumbling, retaining most of its energy instead of transferring it to the target - especially if you’re using an FMJ or match round that’s not designed to expand.
It’s actually one of the reasons it’s kinda fallen out of style for hunting. Despite its muzzle energy, it’s not a particularly precise or effective as a hunting round versus a more modern cartridge. Something like a 6.5 Creedmoor will use less powder to shoot a smaller projectile more precisely and transfer more energy to the target.

So you don’t think things would be better if the GOP just ignored trans people and let them be and instead focused on fixing the economy? Because I think it would be great if right-wing politicians stopped focusing on people’s sex, gender, and sexuality.

Between this and Dex, there’s little reason left for me to keep using Samsung.

A terror attack will drum up more support for the war and give them.an excuse to declare emergencies to further trample civil rights.
It’s the best thing that could happen for this administration.
He crossed that line years ago.
