Shoot myself
I am forced to use edge at work. Pity me.

Never use a web browser again. I’d be somewhat fine with upgrading every single package by CLI ( AKA no appimages ever again ) or finding out about everything new by going through videos instead.
If I’m forced to, then it’s not my device and not my problem.
Holy title gore…
Just how did you write that and not notice how badly you fucked it up?Switch to a Linux distro that doesn’t have .deb support, I can’t install it then. & if I still have to use it I guess I’ll just not use the net until the death of Microsoft, IDK if I could hold out that long but maybe with determination I could.
I have to use edge …but only on my Linux PC -_- I only use it for m365 apps which suck so much more than the stuff that is running natively on the PC and that is free
Unpopular opinion here, for sure, but I use it voluntarily for all work stuff when I’m at home. It’s not as bad as you might think. I never use it for personal stuff, for that I use librewolf and chromium when librewolf doesn’t work, like webusb. I don’t want any work/life cross contamination between cookies and history, and different browsers seems to work well enough for me.
You could also use separate librewolf/chromium profiles. Shortcuts are helpful for commonly used profiles.
It’s fine I just install uBlock and cope
Not use the builtin password manager. https://mashable.com/article/microsoft-edge-password-manager-storing-credentials-plaintext
Ehh, if I am being forced it’s because it’s for work. So it’s only work passwords. Seems more like their problem. I would suggest or ask to change, if refused it’s on them.
If an org is at the point where they are forcing you to only use edge then they should already know the many, many, many issues with inbuilt password managers and will already be providing a corporate password solution.
So long as you don’t reuse passwords, that should be fine.
Why would I reuse a personal password at work? My personal passwords are for important things like shitposting accounts.
Most people use the same password for everything

a Microsoft datacenter, probablyI use it at work, voluntarily. We have a choice of Chrome or Edge, and I hate Chrome more than I hate Edge. There are some built-in nice features, like workspaces and side tabs which are really convenient when you need to switch between dozens of tasks.
First mistake is using windows at all when you seem to have options.
Well, no I don’t. It’s windows or windows at work. I’m lucky enough to have WSL, but using Firefox through WSL is a hassle (proxy, extensions, DPI, etc.) . So Edge works fine for me.
