Simple, they did it so briefly foreign influences or other bad actors could get what they needed, then reversed it so that publicly they can save face.

Save face? Is that what they did? 'Cause I gotta tell you, their faces are looking covered in dog shit to me.

It’s only a matter of time before China pulls some shit.

My guess is they’ll use our new evil image to swoop in and deliver aid to struggling countries, gain favor, and then go to take Taiwan, I’m betting in ~2027-2028.

Our military 's pants will be around it’s figurative ankles.

China has been doing that for years. They have invested heavily into African countries and built tons of infrastructure there that they then claim they own if the country defaults on debts.

The US already made moves to divest from Taiwan with TSMC fabs in the US. Once Taiwan offers no advantage the US will drop them.

Nah, the status quo would have had the US protecting Taiwan for ideological reasons. It was there long before TSMC was the world’s best fab. Hemming in China suits US interests.

Trump is not the status quo.

Ideological? What ideology? The US uses it as a military base against China. I hope you are not going to spout nonsense about freedom and democracy.
