Everything I’ve read about the factory in Hungary was true of countless companies in the US. There are people here who work 7 days a week too.

The reason it’s an issue in Hungary is because the EU has stronger labor protections than we do. If this were happening in the US, I’m convinced it would be completely ignored.

Not even close to the same. Any (actual) research done online is still using real sources that have just been catalogued online.

The entire point of having students write essays is to demonstrate an understanding of the subject matter. Being able to come up with a good enough prompt to spit out a few paragraphs good enough to fool your teacher defeats the purpose entirely.

Infrastructure in this country is already fucked. These old pipes were not built to carry hot water. That’s how you get nasty shit to leech into it.

My question, which seems to have no answer beyond, “it costs money,” is: why the fuck does the water they use need to be potable in the first place? Grey water is a thing. You don’t use treated drinking water for this shit, it’s such an insane waste of resources.

If anything, at the very least, these data centers should be forced to house their own treatment plants to treat the water when they’re done with it so it can re-enter the system.
