  • Of course it’s being seen that way.

If I were to go to my university this year, doing the same course I’d have:

    £9250 x 4 = £37000 for the 4 year course

£9504 x 4 = £38016 for rental accommodation including bills (I picked a rental property that included bills for ease of calculation)

    £5000 x 4 = £20000 for food (based on £100/week)

    That’s £95016

And how much of my degree do I use day to day? Jack shit. Anyone starting my job technically does not need a degree. I work with a niche piece of software that is well known in it’s field but outside of that is not. No degree would ever cover this

  • This is only going to be considered by the swing voters come the election.

Die hard Trumpers will double down. Die hard Republicans would never vote for a Democrat, so better a felon than a Liberal. Die hard Democrats would never have voted for him anyway.

People who flip between the two parties now have another thing to consider when casting their votes, and only their internal compass will direct them to Trump or Biden

  • A day on Venus is longer than a year on Venus.

If you start to think about how these lengths of time are defined it becomes clearer.

1 day = time to rotate on it’s axis once 1 year = time to complete a full rotation around the sun

For Earth, it takes us ~24hrs to rotate on our axis and 365.25 days to orbit the sun.

However, because Venus’ axial rotation is so slow (and another interesting fact, it rotates in the opposite direction to other planets) it actually completes a full orbit of the sun before 1 axial rotation.

Hence, a year is shorter than a day

    For those interested:

    1 Venus day = 243 earth days 1 Venus year = 225 earth days
