FWIW, Karl Marx agreed with you.

Hack the planet!

Did I just evolve language? Or does spellcheck get the credit?

I absolutely love that the snippets of news coming from this trial are revealing what childish, incompetent fools these two asshomes are.
Simultaneously, I’m greatly saddened by the fact the none of it seems to have any impact on the slop products they peddle.
Spellcheck created “asshomes.” But I’m sticking with it. These guys are huge asshomes.

Tried proton, and didn’t like that I needed a proxy to use it with my desktop mail client and no option beyond their app on mobile. Wound up moving to Purelymail. It’s a bit quirky, but super cheap, and I haven’t had any issues. I’ve even replicated Hotmail’s sweep feature with a Thunderbird container.
For aliases, I use addy.io.

When did they start bothering to defend it?

Seems like, if nothing else, Ai might finally force corporate accountants to acknowledge that the cost of a good backup strategy far outweighs the cost of losing all your data because some MBA thought he could write a product update himself with Claude code.

ABSOLUTELY!
Is it good that states are doing this? Of course not. Will red states stop/revert if blue states do the same? Of course not.
So what are our options?
I hate that it’s come to this. I like that VA’s new maps sunset, and revert to the bipartisan commission in 2030. Did any of the red states do that? Still, Trump is writing the rules. Dems & blue states are just playing by them.

“I will tear down your corrupt system, even if it’s the last thing I do in my life. I will go all the way—I am not afraid,” she wrote to the First Lady on X. “Maybe you should be afraid of what I know… of who you are, and who your husband is.”
What.
The fuck.
Are you waiting for?

Watch, somehow he will claim victory for when this war ends, and then promptly add it to the dubious list of wars he’s ended during his presidency.
“Hur dur gib me dem pees prizes NOW!1!!1!111!

So at what point do they ban all new computers not made domestically?

Some still do. Besides, I was t just remarking on the WFH aspect. I’ve known plenty of people, and admittedly been one of the more than once, who talk a good game but wind up making the selfish choices. Sometimes for good reasons, sometimes not.
Plus, I was being somewhat tongue in cheek. Felt like that was obvious. Sorry for omitting the /s

Average American: Great idea! (Goes on with life with no changes)
Most of Rest of World: Y’all are why we can’t have nice things.

Example number ♾️ of incredibly offensive stuff that shit-dick can say that anyone else would be publicly condemned for saying.

Last Thursday, I put the dog out at about 06:30, and it was 71. By 10:45, it was 75. By 18:00, it was 39 & snowing. Wild day!

And it’s not like they can claim they didn’t know. Guy’s been ranting about the Antichrist all over the planet for long enough for word to get out!

People in power making dangerous decisions about things they don’t understand. Recipe for a Good Time. For someone, anyway.

People are going to people. While a noble idea, the pledge overlooks the sociopathic and selfish personality traits pretty much required to attain that level of wealth.
ETA: This is why tax policy is a better way to do this. Problem is if just one or two countries have such policies, the wealthy can hide from it. Not a reason not to have the tax policy, though. That’s where foreign policy should come into play.
But all those voters in that town laughing all the way to the… hmm. What did they get out of that data center deal? A handful of jobs? No increase in the tax base? Higher power bills? Hang on a sec, is Donald Trump on a city council in Georgia? Did I miss that?
