It’s almost like there are those who benefit from large numbers of people being poor and in a constant state of financial crisis, and those people have some sway over public curriculum.

Terminal ballistics is basically chaos theory at work. Rifle rounds aren’t packed with explosives, they can leave relatively clean exits regardless of how much ass they have behind them. The round might have only traveled through a few inches of flesh which isn’t really enough to destabilize a round like that.
