In recent days, the Cuban United Nations Association (ACNU) warned of the humanitarian consequences of a possible U.S. military attack.

ACNU President Norma Goicochea said that “the U.S. government knows…Cuba is not an extraordinary threat” to the United States or any other country.

She also warned that a military intervention would have devastating consequences for civilians, including children, women and the elderly.

“Cubans have the right to be happy. We have the right to live in peace. Ultimately, we have the right to live.”

Oh, but it is a threat - Cubans being happy and living in peace in their “socialist hellhole” while Americans are more afraid of being bankrupted by an ambulance ride than dying would destroy the illusion that capitalism works and bring about the reckoning the ruling class has evaded for too long.

it’s amazing to me how we’re so brainwormed that we’re not collectively able to grasp this.
