Even if the Dems are bad, they are not fascists (for now). Pray they don’t become fascists.

Graham Platner literally has a white power tattoo on his chest and has been a paid mercenary for the imperialist projects in Iraq/Afghanistan.

He’s also considered to be the most progressive Democrat in Maine’s election this year.

  • a government id requirement is the next logical step after its needful framework has been built as a result of the age verification laws that have already taken affect in the uk and california.

and because it’s a government law, it’s out of the systemd developer’s hands. linux is influenced heavily (if not outright controlled) by corporations like red hat who have to abide by the law if they want to continue operating and, in a likewise fashion, the systemd maintainers must also comport themselves if they want systemd to remain the dejour method that linux uses to initiate itself in those ecospheres.

  • there’s plenty of people decrying the descent of critical thinking and media literacy skills and there seems to be a body of work supporting it.

neither are arenas that i know much about; but it’s hard to deny it’s trend by either reviewing that body or work or trying to understand why trump still enjoys 36% support of americans despite all he’s done.

fyi: hexbear seems to be the social leftist center of the lemmyverse while lemmygrad seems to excel at exploring leftist theory.

this matters if you’re like me who has a nascent understanding of leftism that leaves you unaware of most things and best become aware of it by engaging in interactions where people (mostly tangentially) banter about it rather than strict exploration of specific topics.
