If the assistant manager of a brother’s chicken in Kenner can stand up for the rule of law, the lawyers that are also New Orleans city council members really have no excuse.
How can you be “interfering” with immigration orders by telling the people carrying out those orders we all have to follow the rule of law, unless those are unlawful immigration orders you’re “interfering” with?
If they are unlawful, then maybe you should be asking if it’s really wise for you to follow illegal orders just because some dickheads told you to.
Posting signs on city owned property that simply reminds these people they need a warrant to come in and “do their jobs” seems like a pretty bare minimum ask. Why shouldn’t they have to follow the law like everybody else?
