“Trade wars are good, and easy to win.”

proceeds to wage this war on four fronts simultaneously like some kind of Wolfensteinian mecha hitler

A trade war without giving businesses an alternative.

Tariffs only ever work if there’s an alternative option. But he didn’t make any effort to do that. So this is going to be a massive self-inflicted wound.

Donvict is going to set things up so that the price of eggs will be the least of the worries when it comes to costs.

      Problem solved!

Trump on Sunday night returned from Florida and threatened to impose steeper tariffs elsewhere, telling reporters that the import taxes will “definitely happen” with the European Union and possibly with the United Kingdom as well.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_largest_trading_partners_of_the_United_States

Uh huh. So given Canada, Mexico, China, counting the EU as a single unit, that’d be a concurrent trade war with all four top US trade partners and – “maybe” – the UK.

The rationale for the EU and UK should be interesting, because I don’t think that fentanyl’s gonna work.

The rationale for the EU and UK should be interesting will be a bunch of nonsense as usual

When do we get those cheaper eggs?

    When is inflation coming down?

Anybody from MAGA care to guess?

When do we get those cheaper eggs?

More of a “where” than a “when”, but:

Ironically, Greenland has cheaper eggs ($3.93 a dozen) in spite of being so far from anywhere that produces them on an industrial scale that they have to have them flown in at great expense.

And before you get any Trumpian ideas: becoming a part of the US would without a doubt result in higher prices in Greenland as under-regulated US companies take hold.

So what I’m saying is that you should embark on an exciting new career smuggling eggs from Greenland to the US!
