Why not save a step, fuck bitlocker, and use veracrypt to encrypt your drive in the first place?
8·5 months agoTry to play tic tac toe against it. I’m unimpressed by any intelligence that consistently loses in tic tac toe against my four year old daughter and I didn’t invested many million dollars to teach her that 🤣

It’s not just like jpeg with extra channels. It’s technically far superior, supports loss less compression, and the way the decompression works would make thumbnails obsolete. It can even recompress already existing JPEGs even smaller without additional generation loss. It’s hard to describe what a major step this format would be without getting very technical. A lot of operating systems and software already support it, but the Google chrome team is practically preventing widespread adoption because of company politics.

Selling your data would be stupid, because they make money with the fact that they have data about you nobody else has. Selling it would completely break their business model.
I don’t think that’s how it works. If it exactly looks like something protected by laws like copyright or whatever your country uses, I highly doubt that any court would say that it’s fine just because it was created by AI.
2·2 years agoWe don’t even have gates. Most people just pay for their tickets. Sometimes there are ticket inspections - if you get caught you’ll be fined. Way cheaper than enormous infrastructure for every entrance that just slows you down if you have an annual ticket for example. https://youtu.be/kq-X25pH1XQ
Wow that flag is ugly. But now I’m wondering if it’s possible to combine the flags in a way that looks nice.
But to be fair it’s definitely not the lawyers fault.
Compared to many countries in Europe even US “left” is pretty right.
I guess that’s true and I certainly don’t have anything against the concept of a constitution, but as someone not living in the US I find it pretty strange that so many Americans treat the constitution like some holy religious text.
It’s not like the constitution is some infallible magic text, it was also “invented” by some dudes.
Signal could still (at least for a short period of time) read everything. Whisper System just has to push a Signal Update that no longer encrypts. It would probably be noticed pretty soon. And no not because of the source code. The source code is what they claim to ise to build the applications but they could easily apply patches before they build. You’d have to reverse engineer the compiled applications ro see if there is code that’s probably not in the source.
This kind of problem is typically way smaller in projects that actively encourage building the clients from source yourself - which Whister System/Signal does not.
