It probably has to do with the enshittification of Amazon, at least in part. Note how he praises the recommendation algorithm, while in a talk I recently saw he criticized how that same algorithm now pushes promoted products and Amazon knockoffs over what would be best for the customer.

I was already somewhat interested in Linux (as a long time Windows user) when I started studying Computer Science, mainly for it’s core philosophy of freedom and openness.
Given that most courses used Linux as the default OS I installed Ubuntu on my laptop to dual boot it with Windows, and began getting familiar with it.
Over the years I started using Linux more and more, making it my main OS, with Windows still installed for the few programs I couldn’t use otherwise. Over time this set of programs became smaller and smaller, until it was just games.
Last year I bought and assembled a new PC to replace my laptop for daily uses, and given the higher specs and better support (AMD GPU instead of Nvidia) I see no reason to have Windows on it at all. Everything I need runs perfectly fine there.
I use Arch, btw.

We had a few days a year when lessons were suspended and students attended self organized activities instead.
An entire class decided to sneak out instead, went to a bar and some students got drunk before coming back to school. One such student went to the bathroom, zipped up his pants without properly storing his equipment and ended up requiring medical attention including some stitches.
I never met the guy or even know who he was, but the whole school was talking about it for a week or more.

How about both Palestinians and Uyghurs deserve to live?
As I’ve seen too many young girls fall into that particular trap, have high standards for your relationships and keep an eye out for people that try to control you and isolate you from your friends and family. If you have someone you trust, talk to them and ask for advice, as it’s entirely too easy to get blinded by love and realize too late someone is not good for you, but a good friend or relative can usually see that from a mile away.

Im at a point in my life where I try to drink less of that kind of stuff, so when I do I usually choose quality over quantity and pick some smaller brand making good stuff.
My usual is a brand called Lurisia. I especially enjoy their Chinotto, which is mostly caramelized sugar and a bitter aromatic citrus fruit, or bitter orange.
Angela Gossow was a beast, glad they found a very suitable replacement when she left.
In the realm of epic/symphonic metal you probably can’t throw a stone without hitting an amazing female vocalist. Simone Simons from Epica, Nightwish’s Floor Jansen, Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation), and Zora Cock for Blackbrariar are the first that come to mind.
For folk metal there’s Eluveitie with two members and Folkstone with I think one.
Very worth mentioning is Alyssa and her harsh vocals, from Arch Enemy.
While she’s not been a member in a long while, I have to mention Vibeke Stene as the vocalist from Tristania, maybe my all time favorite.
For all female bands there’s Girlschool, and you could say Babymetal, even if they have more members playing with them I don’t know how permanent they are.
Others that I know of but haven’t really listened much by would be Jinjer and Halestorm.
That’s what I can think of off the top of my head, but there’s so much more.
Edit: I almost forgot but I have to add: Amy Lee from Evanescence and Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil.
For the curious, rm -fr /

Oh there’s plenty of porn in there. Not hard-core stuff, and done in a way to fool algorithmic detection, but it’s there
In Italian we have an equivalent, Statunitensi, but Americani is probably used more often to mean the same thing
What about Canada?

I can’t speak as an artist as I ain’t one, but as someone who loves listening and discovering new music, Jamendo is great. There are many artists I listen daily that I only know because of it.

Wouldn’t that depend on the license you choose? If it doesn’t include the Non Commercial clause then there’s no reason to hunt anything. Plus from what I see it’s an opt in thing.

+1 for Jamendo and CC licenses

I game on Linux (Arch, btw) and the only games that don’t work using wine/proton (so far) are those that require kernel level anti-cheat software. Everything else runs mostly flawlessly throgh Steam or Lutris.

I have 800/300, no caps, for like 30€/month. Those prices are insane.
I heard a song by an indie band called Purulent Vagina.
It sounded exactly how you’d expect it to.
