A little cinnamon is great on chicken or in rice.

When I would copy or scan books, I’d hold one page onto the scanner at a time, then crop and straighten each page in pdf before OCRing it.

I agree. Shotcut is great, and can do a lot. Openshot looks more simple, but is actually more difficult to use, IMO.

I use KeepassXC with rclone, and that works well too.

Dnscrypt-proxy also allows you to easily use DNS servers that offer filtering. It also allows you to block sites by url or ip on the system level. You can use any Adguard style lists, or make your own.

As someone who didn’t know anything about either a short time ago, I found cron easier to learn and use. Systemd timers look more visually clean, but the way cron works is more simple and straightforward.
