As a native South Carolinian, I hate to agree, but that’s my take as well.

Those look right up my alley. Thanks!

Hell, yeah! Helvetica!

San serif fonts are my jam. Screw TNR for regular use. Serif fonts have their place when you’re trying to give a document a certain feel, but nothing beats Arial or Calibri for regular reading for me.

Yeah, it’s that propaganda and the world view it propagates leads to all these military interventions that have gone so well for everyone. It’s also telling that interventions only occur when it’s in the interest of the intervening nation, and any perceived positives for the recipients are dubious, at best. Times when the international community needs to do something, like in cases of genocide, don’t seem to be important enough to warrant much of a response except for hand-wringing and virtue signaling in the aftermath.

This is going to lead to nuclear proliferation, I believe. Few, if any, countries can match the US military machine, so the only way to deter it Is to invest in a weapon that even the United States cannot defend against.
There might be other ways that nations might collectively deter an aggressive United States, but this is the only way I can see many isolated nations being able to defend themselves.
I think we can already see many so-called rogue nations following this path and trying to acquire atomic weapons. This will just make it worse.
I could be wrong. I hope I’m wrong. I don’t think I am, though.

Yeah. We saw what happened with Charlie Kirk. Killing these people creates a new idol for their followers to worship.

Awarding him the Peace Prize for what exactly? Can they even articulate a reason?

I was just in Union station for the very first time this last spring, and I thought it was perfectly wonderful as a piece of architecture. I’m no critic of the art of building or anything of the sort, but as a rando first time train traveler, I was actually pretty impressed with it. One thing I particularly enjoyed was a little used bookstore and record shop they had on one of the levels.

Oh! Well, if Putler says it, I guess it’s right, then.
Trump is such a bitch.

Why is this not a conflict of interest?

Sadly, I have to work not to hate the MAGA people. That in itself makes it hard not to hate them; I don’t want to hate anyone, but they are sooo hateful, if that makes any sense.

I’ve got Cherokee ancestry back about two generations. Can I stay?

They at least claimed to aspire to it until about 2015. Whether they succeeded is another matter, but at least there was an advertised intent to do good. Looking at the history of it, it feels like they were earnest at the beginning, but lost their ideals as the billions started to roll in.

Not burying my head, just tired of that waste of human life saying stupid stuff and getting his way.

I see what you did there…sigh <up votes begrudgingly>

Precisely. Who gives a crap what this nepo-baby Nazi piece of pig vomit thinks about anything? His casual opinions do nothing but incite idiots to greater lunacy.

I think that would affect the rest of us, because that means family farms might be taken over by corporations, which is already a huge problem. Because of the downstream effects on the nation as a whole, I sincerely hope they learn their damned lesson.
Do they deserve to lose everything for their stupidity? Sure. Do the rest of us deserve to pay for their stupidity with an increasingly corporatized or weakened agricultural base? No.
What about pooping?
