What about pants?
What about pants?

I’ve been shopping for a dash cam. It seems like all the brands are Chinese companies except Garmin?

I think most people go there now to order sugary drinks. I have to be extra clear I don’t want any sugar or syrups. They put sugar in their iced coffee by default now.
Recently I ordered an iced black tea. I said no sugar and the guy then asks “do you want lemonade with that?” 😐

Can we determine from statistics if on average getting the police involved in any situation improves the outcome of the situation? Genuine question.

Mass migration like that occurs (from my memory at least) when the newer alternative has much better functionality, performance, and ease of use compared to the status quo service and has a low barrier to entry (sign up is quick and straightforward). Do any of the decentralized Discord alternatives fit these criteria (honest question, not rhetorical)?

It seems intuitive but also 2000 years ago people thought that for example the eye emitting some sort of substance that interacts with the surrounding environment to be an intuitive explanation for how vision works, so intuitions need to be tested.

It could be worse. He could have been collecting Funko Pops.

Not to be confused with the British comedian and former host of Fool Us.

Did she open up the packaging and spray directly on the food? Article doesn’t say that. Usually food delivery comes in a bag that’s stapled or taped shut, and the items in the bag are in their own closed containers, except maybe for fries. I’m just not clear on how the spray could have gotten onto the food.

Switching to German Fraktur typeface would’ve been too on the nose.

Oh, I just buy the Pillsbury orange cinnamon rolls in a can. 😅

Orange cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Christmas morning.

What shoes do you recommend? Looking to get a new pair soon.

Can’t wait to try these words at the next Scrabble game.

I’ve noticed this problem with a lot of media made in the past decade. I think Netflix’s ‘Ozark’ is one of the worst examples. In almost every indoor scene the lights are off or very dim.
However, I got an oled screen this year, and it’s helped a lot with dim scenes. I’m guessing hollywood is calibrating for expensive high contrast screens like oled and mini-led?

I really hate the collection cases some of the Blu-ray releases come in. I recently got the complete Blu-ray collection of Star Trek: Enterprise. All the discs are crammed in really tight in one single large plastic case; it feels like you’re going to risk breaking them just trying to get any of them out. The table of contents is printed on the inside of the case behind several discs so you have to take those discs out just to see the list.

I like to grab door handles with my just my index and pinky fingers. I don’t know why. I’ve been doing it since I was a kid. It just amuses me a little. I think I started doing it pretending to be an alien.

You’re telling me a shrimp decayed this atomic nucleus?
Late in my first year of grad school, I was tasked with showing a possible applicant around the college. One of my friends at school heard he was applying. She knew him from undergrad and told me he was a nightmare but didn’t go into specifics. Since I worked directly with the head of my department, she pleaded with me to tell them to reject this guy from the school. Even before she told me about him, I could tell from my brief interaction with him that he was prick, but I didn’t feel comfortable going along with that. His application got approved.
Cut to a year later, me and her are having to file detailed harassment complaints against this guy because he was indeed a nightmare. The school put him on probation. He kept causing all sorts of problems for me, her, and other students. I really wish I had listened to her.
