The breadth of capability this guy has is insane to me. Almost every time I watch one of his videos I find that he’s managed to basically gain a new field of expertise. It’s really impressive.

I switched from the default reader to koreader, and now I have dark mode (mine is probably about 8 years old and did not originally have this feature). Koreader has so many features and qol improvements compared to the default Kindle experience.
Yeah 100x this. My bad I should have mentioned the risks.
Mine doesn’t have this option (screw whoever designed this thing), so I opened it up and smashed the buzzer with a pair of pliers.
That looks cool but the issue would be getting merchants to implement it

Something straight out of 1984. When I read the novel in high school I was naive enough to believe it would never be reflected irl to quite this degree.

The us population voted the Cheeto in a second time, kinda says it all really.

If I had no morals, damn. Scamming dumb misogynistic men would be such a killer money making opportunity.

EDIT: I’m gonna open an issue so Lemmy lets OPs edit and delete comments on their posts. The amount of argument on here is too bad for a standard centralized moderation model.

If Qualcomm released a FOSS RISC-V IP core that would’ve required spending multiple millions on hardware engineer salaries (no chance in hell), I would:

takes this opportunity to develop a high performance RISC V core
They might. This would never be open sourced though. Best case scenario is the boost they would provide to the ISA as a whole by having a company as big as Qualcomm backing it.

Great. Now I’ll have to buy this to justify overspending on 96gb of ddr5.

Wireless engineering concepts are simultaneously interesting while also making me want to take my own life.
It’s quite the dichotomy.
All the different ways we’ve managed to chop up EM waves to implement the incredible wireless technologies we use daily is fascinating. But the math… Dear lord…

Physical cable to the nearest cell tower?

Windscribe has a Websocket tunnel option. Haven’t been on a network that’s been able to block this mode yet.

Set my family up with Bitwarden. Had them think up good passwords, told them not to tell me, etc. etc. they went and promptly forgot it.
One of these days I’m going to set them up again but this time I’m going to have to save their master passwords on my account.
Could also be your sd card btw.

Yeah Micky D’s blocking root was enough reason for me to avoid installing it on my non-rooted phone for ages, because of the implication.
Did eventually cave though, saves me a few bucks once in a blue moon when I do go.

Watch as the 21st century as you know it devolve as supply chains collapse and everyone no longer has access to the necessities needed for survival.
Yeah this article is hot garbage. What “biometric data” are they talking about??? Just images of people’s faces? My understanding is that it’s super commonplace in public locations, are people really that surprised?
