I do know that the Feds often use the Commerce Clause to put the lie to my original statement, but with the abandonment of Roe, I’ve repeatedly heard “it’s in the hands of the States” so maybe my hope is that someone somewhere my see a need to remain intellectually consistent.

Not progressive, and I roll my eyes at many things California does. That said I 100% applaud this. I wish more states used their power as individual states to reign in the Federal government.

Remember The Constitution says any rights not specifically granted to the Feds are the States.

A while back a woman died after eating at a Disney restaurant and being assured that the food she was ordering was allergen free. Disney responded very poorly to the husband’s suit, but I wonder if the Disney employee believed things were allergen free because of one of these hacked menus.

I think PE teachers often get a bad rap. I’m grateful that you got a good one also.

Two men other than my father had dramatic impact on my life. Both of them were PE teachers, one in elementary school and one in high school.

I was awkward, uncoordinated, and a social outcast. I was always the last picked when teams were picked. My elementary school PE teacher solved this by making me the “captain” and I got to pick the teams.

My high school PE teacher, who won State championships and coached future NBA all-stars still had time to be my doubles partner when we were playing tennis.

Those two men were definitely my champions.

I’m a fan of capitalism, but not the kind of capitalism that decrees something is too big to fail and must be bailed out.

So you had another mail server elsewhere that port forwarded port 25 via port 22 to your internal mail server’s port 25.

I take it that outside mail server was secure.

That’s an impressive setup.

Did you really only use it when you were home? If you used it outside the firewall then port 25 must have been open also.

I used to run my own server and this was in the early 90s. Then one day, perusing the logs I realized I was not smart enough on the security front to even attempt such a thing. It was quickly shut down and the MX record moved to an outsourced mail provider.

When you call the cops you’re calling people who can kill you with impunity and get a paid vacation for doing so. Just say no to calling the cops.

My answer may not quite fit the topic. But I’ll share anyway.

In the late 20-teens, ZZ Top and John Fogerty we’re touring together. My wife and I saw them on the Jersey Shore (thanks VetTix!) and Fogerty opened the show and absolutely killed it. Then ZZ Top played and Billy Gibbons just didn’t have it anymore. We left early.

Several weeks later they played Jones Beach Amphitheatre and thanks to VetTix we got to go again. Once again Fogerty knocked it out of the park and Billy was just not up to snuff.

It was sad.

Interestingly, Billy Gibbons is featured on one of the tracks of Slash’s new album Orgy of the Damned. That track is the perfect fit for Gibbons and it holds together beautifully.
