I hate this chasing of overly complicated and excessive software in cars. The only touchscreen I want in my car is the one that let’s me run Android Auto for GPS and music. Everything else should be tactile analog switches and dials. Whichever person thought touchscreens are a safe UI choice in a fast moving death machine is insane.

It’s the humidity in tropical regions. If it’s not sealed properly, your biscuits will absorb the moisture in the air and turn soft. They’re not oxygen removers, they’re water vapour removers and it’s there for a reason. It’s not because we hate the environment or we’re nuts. Hell, English as far as I know doesn’t even have a word in common usage for it. In Hokkien we have a word “lau hong” which literally means to lose air as in lose the crispness of the biscuit.

Hell, there’s also so many ants here that when I was in Finland, I was shocked that people leave biscuits as is without putting them into containers. If you do it in South East Asia, your biscuits would have become an ant colony in hours.

I don’t see how other methods aren’t immune to this issue without asking you to do verification every day.

You do need to wipe off the water at least and not all models have the feature to dry you after it’s done washing your bum.

Windows could have done so much differently. More seamless integration with xbox and cross platform for gaming. Different, easily swappable profiles (windows) for different tasks (basically overhauling desktops, like for art, dev work, etc). Optimizing microsofts enterprise software suite without all the bloat. Not deprecating the idea of android support.

But like all big tech companies, they only see money now

People like to hate on Ballmer but all of these ideas came out during his time. Since Satya replaced him, Windows has just been getting worse and worse and the focus on their products have been lost to the cloud and AI. Sure the stock price rose but there’s nothing exciting about Microslop anymore.

They’ve picked themselves quite a bit since last year and are actually very competitive on laptops. They’ve still got ways to go for desktop but the changes they’ve made since are promising.

Man just how much does it cost for a check up where you live? I’m paying out of pocket at a private clinic and it’s only 390 USD (after conversion) for one of the higher tiers that the doctors recommend you do every two years.

Never have I been more glad that I mostly follow Japanese bands nowadays and live close enough to Japan that I can drop by for concerts at reasonable prices. Ticketmaster has completely fucked up the pricing where I live. Fuck Live Nation and Ticketmaster.

Download the videos with yt-dlp and watch them locally. If you have a home server, you can set it up to automatically download new videos from specific playslists or channels and add them to Jellyfin.

The web version is even worse! It’s all cloud-based, and you need a subscription unless your University pays for a license.

You don’t actually need a subscription for the cloud web version actually. It’s ass though.

Your example doesn’t make sense either. There’s no one here saying that their Ethernet port isn’t an RJ-45.

Isn’t that just dependent on the news sources you’re following? There’s definitely some bias here and there but that’s why you should be following multiple sources from multiple backgrounds anyways.

I was in Santa Monica a few days ago before it happened and there were at least 200 people there by the afternoon. I wouldn’t be surprised if the numbers hit 300 after I left.
