I started using Linux in a time when package management was barely usable, and I had a broken distro as a first distro. Too often I was chasing down answers all over the internet when there were few to share, and the diy aspect of arch is rather nostalgic for me.
I have arch on a few different systems. A couple of them, I used the script as I wanted to get them up and running quickly. It was very good for that, and I still had options in the script to make many of the choices and set things up manually instead of letting the script decide.
My cat rolls off the back of the couch quite often when he sleeps. Usually he rolls onto the seat cushions, but it’s hilarious when he goes backward and falls into the stuff we have behind the couch. For reference, we use the couch to help separate the living room and the kitchen, and we keep our cans of soda against the couch. Poor cat falls into them, we laugh, and the he walks around all embarrassed and pissed. Never hurt, though.

I tried Magic Spoon based on a YouTube sponsor and I was rather disgusted with the way it tasted and felt.
People who chew with their mouth open. Looks and sounds disgusting.

Wrong agenda. It doesn’t matter who on the political divide is right or wrong, the agenda is the ad money and continued viewership.

Walmart made sure they were specific about the reason being reporting to the wrong supervisor and creating a security risk. Can’t call it wrong that way.

I was working on a e-commerce site for a large furniture manufacturer. They wanted to add a new attribute to a site that dealt with the fabrics they used. This would have been somewhere near 500 individual products with their own value for this attribute. We had to get this lined up on the product csv because somebody didn’t think to do it in the erp. One of my managers was set to go in and use Excel to merge the lists, but I realized he would have to do this every month until the end of time. I wrote a quick script on the site to do this anytime the product csv needed to be updated. Write once, run forever.

My big question is that if a whole flock is killed when bird flu is discovered, why are JUST egg prices going up? My local grocery store recently had a sale on chicken but the eggs are in short supply and cost nearly 10 times what they used to a few months ago? Shouldn’t chicken meat be expensive too? Or do I not know anything about poultry farming and bird flu?

So, I just found out that Hunter Schafer is trans. Never guessed. Good for her.

If I’m doing it, I have prisoners. If you do it, you have hostages.

Vive la resistance
I started screening my phone calls.

My opinion on tech is that there are cool things being done that do one shiney thing, but everyone disregards the shit it produces behind the scenes. Blookchain is an awesome concept, the whole chain depends on all the other parts of it, but the fact that in order to use it, you have to download the whole thing in several systems. The size of a single will grow so large, only a few companies will be able to analyze it at scale. And AI is a huge joke. Nobody should be celebrating generative AI. A ton of computing power that is dangerous to our eco system, and it’s all trained on shady material. Nobody is doing anything significant about the power consumption, just coming up with agencies to help companies use AI properly. It’s all a joke. Most of our most influencial technologies are just someone asking how to make big bucks off something comes else created for free.

AI should be used as a recommendation, not an absolute answer.

Almost like these people read Ayn Rand and jerked off.

Not looking for smut to read, just looking to see how often open tries actually happen.

I would like to explain that I’m not looking for dirty stories and such. I have been exploring the more extreme tropes in porn to see if they happen IRL or not. Probably should have explained better, but there it is. There are some ideas used that are rather extreme, and I start wondering how much it actually happens.
A question I have that I hope someone can answer: how is the age check at the OS level verified? Is it just a trust issue that the user is putting in the correct date?
