Im boycotting it. Not that id follow it either way, but at least previous years Id go to a bar with friends to watch the semi-finals and final, and have a couple beers, simply to watch good football. Not this time though.

I read about this with relation to Malcolm X and Dr. King. Essebtially the point is that you guve the oppressor only two options: violent retaliation, or peaceful pacifyibg granting of rights. Malcolm X was a bigger threat, so the US government chose to go with the less damaging option of Dr. King, abd ultimately the civil rights movement’s goals were achieved (largely, though inperfectly)
Government and people are tightly linked. Governments tend not to stray too far from what their people believe, at least openly, since they want to keep power, and their heads. The fact that the US is now openly doing what its been doing for decades behind closed doors and pretending not to do, means that they at the very least hold the belief that a large portion of the population is willing, open to, and/or indifferent to their actions, finally. Makes sense though, since most US americans are disgusting, racist, fascist, self-centred isolationist rubbish, and have been for a long time. The self aware ones, or those who become self-aware after invading some far off country and realising that they are in fact, the baddies (only after torching a village or tormenting the local populace) are few and far between.
I saw a video recently of a US soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan, Id say sometime in the 2000s (2000-2010), complaining that they’re not allowed to retaliate (shoot is actually the word he used) children who it seens regularly threw rocks at their vehicles along that particular stretch of road, and he didnt seem to realise that he was the invader, nor that those are fucking kids and what he was saying was abnormal and sick…
YouTube definitely does that. Im on Brave, been for years, and in the past year clicking on videos makes them load with several seconds delay, with a popup in the bottom left along the lines of “Experiencing interruptions? Find out why” and the help page it takes you to if you click it, basically gives the default reasons of “youre internet may be slow”, but IIRC it also includes the reason that you are using ad blocking scripts
Heres my ~/.bin directory:

Hopefully thats what youre asking for.
My favourite ones are:
One that Im still working on but will for sure be my favourite once its done is parse_keybinds.sh and keybind_cheatsheet.sh, which go through some of the software I have and parse their config files to extract all the keybinds into a file with a specific format. The latter script then launches a rofi menu where I can fuzzy search keybinds based on software name and what I want to do but cant remember the binding for. So far Ive got sxhkd and lf, but I consider it a work in progress because I want to also parse neovim bindings, but sxhkd and lf are single file configs while neovim has bindings in multiple files spread across multiple subdirectories in its config directory.
Do people still seriously consider travelling/engaging with the US in any way??
It was the Sovereign British Areas that came under attack by a single drone as far as we are aware. Technically its British territory, even though its colonial in nature.

Alright everyone, good result. See you all here in a couple years for the new iteration

Im not from the US but ill be mean to any one of them i encounter

Whenever i encounter the “we cant revolt, theyll shoot us” argument from americans i always think to myself “so youd rather they shoot someone else in a different country then? Right”
Its clear subconsciously at least they think theyre superior and value their own lives above other nation’s peoples.
So is not voting AND doing nothing else…
Assuming you got compromised by downloading something, or opening a phishing email or something like that, a factory reset should be enough to clear everything malicious. Im assuming this isnt a targetted attack against you specifically. If it is, the attack may be more complicated and go deeper than a factory reset could clear. Im not a phone guy though, so I dont know much about how that would work, I just believe it is likely to be possible.
Wouldnt a true anarchist explicitly NOT do nothing? Theyd actively (keyword: actively) do what they could to resist, no?
I agree, but only one of those 2 countries has proclaimed (in law if im not mistaken, but i may be wrong) that they would intervene militarily to prevent one of their own from being tried by the ICC, regardless of the actual crimes they’ve committed. And im talking about sending special forces to extract said alleged criminal against humanity, from another sovereign nation, abiding by its own laws.
Guess which of the 2 I’m talking about? Russia is by no means the good guy, but its not a binary issue, as most people on the internet seem to react when these 2 countries are mentioned in the same sentence. Russia being ‘bad’ doesn’t automatically make the US ‘good’ and vice versa.
Sure, who’s worse shifts back and forth over the years, but to my eyes, currently, the US is worse, and its been that way for a long time. Way before trump. Anyone who thinks this all started when trump took office, is a bit deluded.
But you’re 100% right, send both of them to the ICC, in an ideal world.

This seems like a good thing. As they state, instead of just using OSS they’ll contribute back to existing projects and likely release some of their own stuff.
Hopefully they stick to it
Aha i didnt know about this. Thanks, its something im interested in looking into more on my own
I see. If at all avoidable, id like to avoid bambu if they are on the path of locking down, despite how easy they are. Opennes is really important to me, so if I didnt go for bambu, nor creality, what are ky other options at aprice range that is a logical investment for a first printer? If theres nothibg else, Ill just buy a bambu, but id rather not
how dare you
