Major damage to US corporate infrastructure seems more likely to have a real impact on the length of the war. Heart wrenching stories about humanitarian crises don’t seem to have that sort of impact. Even if they would, there are too many of these stories to draw sustained public interest in any single event or group of related events. Corporate involvement at least has a board who has to try to take action on behalf of investors. It wouldn’t be a romantic end, but it might be better than nothing.

Voyager for me. The compact mode is fairly compact, with small enough thumbnails that it can feel text-first. The few others that support piefed have had huge images with no easy way to fix that.

We had no issues in the Netherlands. We did stick to the largest banks, who might have an easier time dealing with the additional regulatory compliance.

These have been called milk for far longer than this has been a supposed issue for.

This isn’t restricted to things humans drink. Any white-ish liquid had a chance of being labeled milk. See also crop milk, milkweed, milk of magnesia, discus milk, glacial milk.

Or for a food product with a similar fight, see peanut butter. In Dutch the fight resulted in it being called pindakaas (peanut cheese).

Even if there’s an understanding of the doorman fallacy throughout most of the chain of command, you can still run into issues.

I know as an analyst both me and my boss were very aware of intangibles, but usually couldn’t find a way to model them. The consumers of our reporting would also want these, but couldn’t always tell a story that was palatable to the client to justify the expense.

You end up with everyone knowing the doorman is a big deal but being unable to hold onto him.

Lots of great ways to serve spinach here already. A few more:

• Veggie lasagna. Be sure to wilt and squeeze out excess moisture, otherwise you can end up with a soggy lasagna
• Strata with bacon
• Creamed, and cooked low and slow. Spinach slowly releasing its juices into milk/cream is incredible. Usually with a cheese similar to gruyere or comte. Be sure to grate in some nutmeg. Scratches a similar itch to saag if you want something like that but different
• Florentine anything, but I’m partial to omelettes
• As with most darker leafy greens, added soup or pesto (or if you have a better term for the non-basil family of uncooked smashed leaf/oil/salt/nut or seed/cheese sauces)

Lemon juice too! But yes, this is one of the many great ways to eat spinach
