Yeah its feasible. Linux mint is doing gods work in making linux accessible for personal use. the biggest hurdle is workspace use, so much poorly supported software barely works on windows, and was never designed for linux in the first place.

4 i am listening to a sad song and still have work to do today.

How is the fairphone doing these days? I was scared off by the battery life last time i checked it out

I think you need a good baseline amount of spite and resentment for windows and/or mac.

Ludd was right. But the issue here is google putting out shitty products, not workers being replaced by machines the owner class has unrestricted access to… actually, if the purpose of those chatbots was to replace the critical thinking of students, maybe this is an issue the General would smash up.

Oh huh. Now i feel good about hopping from fedora and not really vibing with gnome. GG redhat, no re
I’ve messed around with the main stars, and I like KDE plasma the best. it’s pretty and customizeable. XFCE hits harder than I thought it would, and Cinnamon is pretty good out of the box. I think I hate MATE, but GNOME is good. I also tried something called “Awesome” and it looked deranged in a way that I’m pretty sure would make sense if I spent more time with it… but it was kinda ugly.

I’d actually recommend whatever it is that you use, OP. Having a friend who is intimately familiar with your distro is way more helpful than one that’s theoretically even better but you have limited support for. If they want to make the jump later, they can always do what I did and somehow accidentally become an arch (btw) linux guy after a year in the ecosystem (goddamnit how did this happen, i just wanted to keep using my old craptop, not become a thigh high socks guy).
edit: I’m reading that you’re also an archfreak, so I’d suggest Manjaro instead. It’s got an easier learning curve and guis, but is arch-based.
Critically. Its the face of the operating system, and I’m shallow enough to put a lot of value on a pretty face
Somewhere between two and four, eheh

Ive only used the terminal on my laptop for installing programs i could’ve installed from a gui, and for updating. Which i could’ve done on a gui.
So i think so? Manjaro btw

Oops, phrasing error on my part. I have kde connect on my phone, i meant to say i wanted linux on my phone, hehe. Android doesnt count :)

Ah yea thats probably it. I had issues with the wifi on my laptop so i swapped to 2.4g. My pc is wired to the router via ethernet, and my phone uses 5g

works great. I’m struggling to even think of anything negative to say. KDE connect doesn’t work as well as I want between my laptop and PC? I really wish I could install something similar on my phone.
I prefer it over gmail and outlook, but as others have said, it leaves a bit to be desired

One time donations of $5 only, I am poor

Fedora w/ kde was my first foray into linux and i can say it was a good place to start for a windows convertee. +1
Samesies, dumb tvs forever.
