Unfortunately, federation for software forges is still in its earliest days. There is an ActivityPub extension called ForgeFed that’s implemented by Vervis and Forgejo (the gitea fork that Codeberg is based on), but it is still far from feature complete.

It’s not limited to German users, but those might be especially inclined since it’s a Berlin-based company 🙂
