Honestly, Google Search has been better the last couple years after spending the previous twenty years getting consistently worse.

Most of what I use Google for is trivial. Like how old is a certain actor, or why was this author canceled, or what does this item do in a video game?

It’s great for those things. Especially the video game stuff. I don’t want to watch a 10 minute video just to get a discrete answer, and now I don’t have to.

I can even ask it for spoiler-free hints on a particular puzzle, and most of the time it gives me something useful.

I’m not fully convinced this benefits Republicans that much. If voting is harder it’ll mean that the people who vote either have more time or more motivation. Republicans have more time, but Democrats have a lot more motivation.

Anecdotal, but my daughter read her first word at 3 years, 8 months. My son just started reading last week at 3 years, 7 months, and much more actively than my daughter.

She was so advanced that we never expected him to keep up, especially since he doesn’t get as much one on one time as she did. But now he’s even more advanced than she was. I was thinking today that him having her around probably helps.
