I never why we suppose to feel bad about our state in order to oppose to it. Shame do not lead to long term action; feeling bat about a state we do not run imply identify to it. This is an issue, we have to distinguish ourselves (as a collective) from the state.

  • I’m not sure you did read anything I’ve said :

Workers have right; those right are poorly applied but workers have unions to defend themselves

    Slaves have historically had rights

Did I say anything about history ? Or the US situation ? No, you think you know my point before reading it. I’m saying they still is slavery situation, and even those people are proletarian too, they are marginalized and even sometime exploited by our class too. I,ve never said the wage condition and struggle are unrelated. They are. And they are related to children condition too; but being related is not being equal. The real question is : what could we do do change things and develop our class consciousness ?

A hint : not ignoring the most marginalized one, and the critics inside our class

  • I do; but a lot of people still do not have those rights : depending of the country, sex work, prisoners, “disabilities”, people without papers, and people owned in domestic situation (still exists) In most cases, our unions fail to defend people in those situation. If we want to make this to change, maybe we shall not invisibilize difficulties of the most oppressed of the working class, but adapt to these. And a lot people said their are cringed by the use of the terme “slavery” for wage an employee situation that would be an improvement.

Always bring water. When tear gaz appears, stop breathing, wet a a piece of cloth and start to breath slowly through it. Even when you are use to it, it’s important to don’t take deep breath.

The advantage over a full mask is that you may not annoy by cops in case of frisking.

You may use waterpool glasses too if you follow the previous instruction

Good luck, and fuck the police

  • Sorry to exhume this post month later, but it’s actually the most accurate place I’ve found to ask

I recently heard that blur and pixelation are unsafe. I want to evaluate how much it is a threat. I didn’t find any sources, so I tried to reproduce. I took first pictures of a my search engine, blur faces with signal, and try many “unblur” website. IA replace faces with random one each time.

Is there a valid attack that could undo blur with valid method ? Or is it considered unsure because some people blur with unsafe tools ?

  • I’m in an anarcho syndicalist union and we used to promote training course. In the end, those training are mainly done by minorized people (based on gender, race or social class). Men having courses for unions or other proletarian organization are paid. This is discrimination, in which benevolent took it parts.

You don’t choose you mentality, you deal with your condition. Now, we pay people on a dedicated solidarity fund for they chosen collective, such as a strike fund. In the future, when this conditions will evolve, we will stop using money.

Relying on individualists means is counterproductive

  • That’s a good point. Even without encryption, we found search tools (such as those in thunderbird) quickly overwhelmed with heavy load (1-2 GB). We manage shared mailbox in sorting mail in dedicated subfolders. This is not perfect, but in thoses context, manually check in those sub-folders is better that letting those information clear

  • Top 10 played games on steam :¹

    • CS GO : compatible Linux
    • Dota 2 : compatible Linux
    • Battlefield 6 : not compatible
    • ARC Raiders : not compatible
    • PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS : not compatible
    • Path of Exile : not compatible
    • Rust : not compatible
    • R.E.P.O : not compatible
    • Banana : compatible Linux
    • Bongo Cat : not compatible

So 3/10, and 2 of them are made by valve with an explicit orientation toward Linux. Because I’m unemployed, I computed playtime of those games²:

      1. Counter-Strike 2 : 36,07 %
      1. Dota 2 : 21,54 %
      1. Battlefield™ 6 : 10,46 %
      1. ARC Raiders : 8,16 %
      1. PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS : 6,78 %
      1. Path of Exile : 4,08 %
      1. Rust : 3,93 %
      1. Banana : 3,24 %
      1. R.E.P.O. : 3,08 %
      1. Bongo cat : 2,67 %

Tbf, I didn’t expect that Linux Games represent ~ 50% of playtime of the top 10. This quite impressive, and it does underline an interesting trend. However, I think a lot of people use their personal experience to other, with no regards for the social contexte. I got 3 different computers, I’m used to Linux, and I couldn’t play to almost every games. Because I’m too poor to get the right hardware, because my friends do not play on compatible games, and gaming is a social experience. My point is not that we shall not make FOSS propaganda’ my point is that software need to be produce regarding the need of the people in our diversity in order to make FOSS mainstream. Everybody is not in IT, in the US with a engineer wages.
