It works in both directions. I’ve been shadowbanned from mastodon.social because one user misinterpreted my comment about something political (related to Germany), reported me and apparently their (German) mod was either lazy or followed the same misinterpretation and shadowbanned me - for life.
And there’s no way to object this as their support only answers to members. Which I am not.

Yep, and an especially fun fact is that people with high-end equipment prefer MP3 over lossless.

But did they use oxygen-free copper (OFC) wire? Because otherwise the results are skewed as regular copper sounds just as bad as a banana stuck in wet mud.

They’re doing test rides already.

i believe it would be trivial to look through, if you can obtain them in the first place.
That’s the key point. Most paid plugins you can download only after paying. And if you get your hands on a copy, that doesn’t mean you’ll get updates, too. And running old plugins can considerably harm the security of your installation.
But if you can get your hands on a fully functional demo, you usually can remove limits.

But if they’re doing it half-assed as most services (send photo of passport, take a selfie), it won’t be a challenge for AI to generate random IDs and a matching avatar for photo/video verification. The only way this could work is if they’d verify your ID by reading the NFC chip inside the passport or ID card.

I hope you’ve edited and then deleted all your comments before closing the account? There are nice scripts for that and it’ll devalue Reddit if there’s less useful information on there.

The problem is that wireless CarPlay works via WiFi. And your car only has 1 wifi module. So, it’s either providing a hotspot or wireless CarPlay. You could try whether it makes a difference connecting your phone via cable.

“You have 20 seconds to comply.”

UI/UX seems to be a nightmare though, plus missing software
I’d be fine with just a shell prompt if there was a usable keyboard to type in commands. Similar to a BlackBerry Classic. I’d just write shell scripts to do all the things I like to do.
I also like the idea behind the Planet Computer devices. But I rarely need to do serious work while out and about nowadays to be willing to lug around such brick.

My home folders on any OS have a Development folder (which conveniently sits right next to Documents and Downloads) and in that folder, I’ve also got subfolders per programming language that have the respective projects in them.
The other folder I usually have is SyncThing with whatever synced folders are relevant for that machine.

What is this th → þ replacement going on in your text? Trying to bring back the thorn?

I believe Infuse has Jellyfin support on Apple TV. But they want like £100 for a lifetime license or £2 a month / £13 a year.

Reminds me of companies that still call themself “startup” even after several years with a successful product. Just so they can rip employees off with low base pay and unpaid overtime because “we’re a startup”.

I usually boot the System-Rescue CD (can also boot from USB) and use GPartEd to resize partitions.

But what do you do with your Passkey in your password manager if you have to login on another device (you don’t own)?
Yes, besides Gopher and Gemini, “small web” usually includes traditionally coded HTML+simple CSS+handmade/small JS websites. I.e. websites that are not using a big JS framework or huge amounts of CSS.
