There are plenty of things that are better in the world, political or not. Child mortality is down, maternal mortality is down, life expectancy is up, hunger worldwide is down, crime is down, various diseases are on the cusp of being eradicated. A lot of these are progress in non “Western” countries that don’t really get covered much in western media since Good News doesn’t hit the first page with all the horror happening locally.

Even discounting the writing quality, we already have AI responses that reference AI hallucinations posted online as fact.

“The vast majority” really depends on the social space/context you are in. Middle of Kansas or Alabama? Yeah. Portland or Seattle or another place like that? Might be a majority or might not be, depends on the part of town probably.

If inaction leads to harm, is not doing anything a harmful act?

They claim to be a public benefit corporation, so while they obviously need to get income to run servers and fund development, their objective as a company isn’t just to maximize shareholder value.

I don’t know where/how to find their actual foundation documents to see what those actually say for their balance of profit vs mission.

In every place I have been to that use this, they will still take order by person. Maybe I’m just lucky, though.
