Internet rando.

Didn’t spend a lot of time there but my experience was similar. Didn’t notice any spam, but activity was sparse.

Bought a new TV and this is precisely the reason why it will never be connected to the Internet. I miss out on the built-in AirPlay which is annoying but I’ll live.

Apparently the legality stuff is iffy according to YT comments and the tips in the video should not be construed as legal advice.

I really liked the video and the way he explained the process. Loved the tip about using translucent/white PLA in the first few test prints and making notes with permanent markers.
You might be able to get the student discount, making mail €2.5/mo for 1 year.
I ended up going with the Flashforge Adventurer 5M for ~$175 https://slickdeals.net/f/18590524-flashforge-adventurer-5m-wi-fi-3d-printer-w-auto-leveling-167-20-free-shipping (You can get 20-60% back from certain cashback websites like TopCashback or Capital One Shopping if you are comfortable with using them.)
You can 3D print an enclosure for the 5M after purchasing an enclosure kit for ~$40 online.
There’s also the 5M Pro model for ~$100 more that comes pre-built with an enclosure for sound dampening and printing with materials like ABS. It also comes with a camera and an extra nozzle. I didn’t go for it cause of the higher upfront cost, plus I don’t expect to print outside of PLA and PETG.

Have you tried it? How has your experience been?

Thanks for sharing this. Was wondering where it was on my Pixel 9.

Discord, the social chat app popular with the video game community, has met with investment bankers in recent weeks to discuss preparations for an initial public offering as soon as this year, two people familiar with the talks said.
[…]
The people, who requested anonymity because the conversations are confidential, cautioned that the talks were still exploratory and that I.P.O. plans remained subject to change.
Yeah I’m waiting for it to go back down to $40. I’m in no rush haha.

Pause your YouTube watch and search history. It makes a world of a difference.
I like videos I care about and want to see more of. Watching a single junk video (in theory) doesn’t ruin my feed.
I’ve been hearing good reviews about the Onn Pro box by Walmart (of all companies, yes) if you’re in the US.
Comes with 32 GB storage and a USB 3 port to add storage to it.
Intensely dumb.
EDIT: The Pro Plus Premium Max etc words all jumbled up together just don’t fit well with me. I’d need to keep referring to the chart in the article to avoid confusing between all the models.
I’ve been using NextDNS for about 1.5 years as a paid customer.
Sometimes I run into these weird connection issues where nothing loads. I turn off private DNS on Android then turn it back on and pages start loading again. I haven’t had this issue on iPadOS and Windows.
I don’t know if it’s an Android thing or a NextDNS thing.
I wish there was an easier way to enable/disable it on their website as sometimes you need to access a website blocked by your filters and it can be cumbersome to remove private DNS in Windows’ settings.
Other than that it’s worked well.

Nothing serious, but I track all the games I play. According to stats, I completed 30 games and spent a total of 4d 15h 32m playing games this year.

Mostly Lemmy. Mastodon sometimes – I have to spend more time there muting RSS bot accounts to find stuff of my interest.
Dipping my toes into Bluesky as well. So far it’s been good – very polished experience.
I also lurk quite a bit on Tildes.net.
Fixed! Thank you.
