  • why should other people have a higher risk of dying just because someone has a micropenis?

Always has been. These days this just also enables “normal people” with micropenis to endanger their fellow citizens.

But micropenises basically, in all of history, sent other people to their deaths. Be it war, starvation, random generic atrocities, you name it.

I feel micropenis is a metaphor for something else here.

  • But do they also have reasonable prices? When Telekom finally put fiber at our street their offers were so stupid, that basically everybody kept cable.

For starters they limit upload for no reason. Then they capped at 1 GB and wanted like 130€ for that. At the time I had the very same on cable for only 45 € or such, so I basically told them “give me prices and speed like in Switzerland and you have a deal”. The sales guy only asked me “why do you want that much upload?”. Like, because there’s no reason for you to limit it at all, only greed.

  • Well you’re not alone in having that mindset.

Well, a lot of countries do not have this “18 years is the definitive line” ruleset. Which is made to not criminalize sex between e.g. 19 and 17 years old, which is also kind of ridiculous. OTOH it easily leads to the situation where 40 years and 16 years is also legal (in Germany e.g. when there’s no power dynamic between the parties - so 40 yo teacher and his pupil - nono; “random encounter” legal as long as there’s consent). But then again how would the law be written to make it better, like some crazy formula to check for?!

  • Yep, preparing a proper search is my use case. Like “how is this special screw called?”. I can describe the screw and tell the model to provide me a list of how that screw could be called.

Then I can search for the terms of that list and one of the terms is the correct one. It’s way better than hoping that somebody described the screw in the same words in some obscure forum.

But, is it worth to burn the planet, make RAM, GPUs, hard drives unaffordable for everybody and probably crash the world economy for a better screw search? I doubt it.

  • TBH I was in the same boat, and finally went usenet when they rised the prices for all that streaming shit across the board, once again. Took me one afternoon to figure out.

I’d like to torrent, it’s morally more piratey, as in “if I pirate already, then it should be totally free”, but the usenet experience just is so much cleaner. And now I still pay, but like 30ish € per year and have no headache anymore and basically all the streaming services at my fingertips.
