's Middags is er zeker meer zonne-energie. Het stroomverbruik ligt dan echter zeker ook hoger. 's Nachts is er geen zonne-energie. Door de aanzienlijk lagere vraag zullen de prijzen dan waarschijnlijk ook wel laag zijn. De belasting van het elektriciteitsnet is dan in ieder geval minder.

In de podcast van de Volkskrant heb ik gehoord dat het een simpele maar effectieve maatregel kan zijn om een elektrische auto pas ’s nachts op te laden en niet meteen zodra je thuiskomt. Met moderne laadpalen kun je dat ook eenvoudig instellen.

Ik ben ongeveer een jaar geleden begonnen met Linux Mint. Het is echt een betrouwbaar OS en werkt uitstekend en stabiel. Ik zou het zeker aanraden om het eens te proberen, vooral als je er genoeg van hebt dat Microslop alles met elke nieuwe versie alleen maar erger maakt.

Much like fascism elsewhere, it’s not going away with elections. There was still (just) enough institutional cohesion last time. Even then, it took Mike Pence to, probably for the first time in his life, do the right thing. No matter the “election” result, the current set of muppets is never going to give this power away peacefully. Just imagine VP Couchlover in the place of Mike Pence on that fateful day. We’d probably have gotten a coup right then and there.

I recommend carpet bombing the entire country for a few years, either dropping two nukes on it or granting about a quarter of its territory to neighbouring countries (including ethnically cleansing those areas) as well as splitting the rest in half for a few decades, and finally keeping foreign troops around for the next 70 years and counting. It worked wonders for Japan and Germany, both of which have since become positive additions to the world community. Perhaps we should give that a try for the US? (this is obviously satire; I’m obviously not in favour of mass killings and ethnic cleansing…)

The United States don’t have an opposition any more. The current situation more closely resembles the bloc party system (“Blockparteien”) of East Germany and several other socialist countries.

We hebben al extreemrechtse politici die tot samenwerking met het kabinet bereid zijn. Eerdmans heeft al 9 zetels. Deze ex PVVers kunnen daar toch gewoon meedoen.

We hebben nu al een ruime rechtse meerderheid in de twede kamer. Dit is alleen maar een verschuiving binnen de rechtse meerderheid die al bestaat. In deze context is dat dus eerder een verbetering.

Het maakt niet zoveel uit of het om tien of duizend Europese soldaten gaat. Als een “speciale operatie” NAVO-soldaten moet doden, is het bondgenootschap gewoon helemaal dood.
