Did you see I wrote that comment into a spoiler to shorten it in the post replies so it is not a wall of text? Sorry if my thoughts are hard to follow at times. I write in an abstract rough draft like format. I wrote several tips and how I approach a problem like this.

The floating thin sections on layers, lack the flow consistency to maintain temperature regulation of the heat block. The heater cartridge in the print head is managed by a PID control loop. This will always have some overshoot and undershoot of temperature when the flow changes substantially. There are a number of contributing factors to this issue in the printer hardware design. I could go into a lot of depth here but that is an aside.
I would not use thin floating sections. Let’s say the whole backing was solid in a FreeCAD design body. I would then do something like an egg shaped ellipse pocket out of the middle. Another option might be a % like shape with the thinnest section offset so that the layer lines are still substantial.
My most advance approach would be to print the face of the frame on the bed, and the rear face of the backing plate also on the bed as a second part. If designed well from the start, and if the bed is large enough, you design the print to finish the backing plate before the face is completed. Then you add a print pause, remove the backing plate, insert it into the front plate, and continue the print to encapsulate it as a single part. This makes any 2D pattern for the backplate possible, and you do not need to deal with fasteners or whatnot. You end up with a perfect picture frame slot using this method.
A total aside, but this idea can also be used to make your own printed supports manually for perfect overhangs. You print the support to size, add a pause, and remove the printed support shape. Ideally, you add a ~0.1mm-0.2mm clearance gap, paying very close attention to how your slicer layers height and first layer correspond to the support dimensions, or rotate the support to utilize better x/y dimensional accuracy if possible in some designs. You can even create a printed alignment jig on the build plate just to hold this manually created print support. The trick is to then apply gluestick to the interface between the manually printed support and your overhang. This can produce nearly first layer like print quality on an overhang with dimensional accuracy too.
Another super advanced trick: let’s think if the picture frame standing vertically upright in Cartesian planes. It is facing forward on the X-Z plane (X = -><- = >< = left to right). Let’s assume the origin 0,0,0 is properly centered in the frame. Now if we look at a X/Y Top, section view, we are looking at the picture frame as if someone had used a hacksaw in the middle of the sides of the frame. In other words, we are looking at the frame’s profile view. Now typically, people approach this like a [. Now this takes a lot of practice, but it is possible to design a profile something like ɭ̅̅̅ ̅ ̅˻ ̅ ̷̅ – the print bed is ↓. If you design this just right, the left side is the frame and the right is designed with a small connection to the bed and an angle where this connection is close to the rest of the frame. The thin bridge overhang is going to contract and shrink towards the larger heat mass of the frame, especially because of the printed layers above the bridge. This contracting force will be set into the part like a spring, but will remain compressed due to bed adhesion. You may want to add a small first layer connection or inner skirt to hold this section in place firmly throughout the print. When the part is removed from the bed, the bridge spring will pull the right section back. This will create the slot for your picture and potentially a way of holding other types of backing, while not worrying about conforming to other types of manufacturing process constraints like a wood router or sheet metal profile.
Sorry if my lack of eloquence, verbosity, or tone come across negative at all. I wish to be encouraging and am just nerding out.

I was looking for the image to see if I saved it, but apparently not. There was a image floating around of a private meeting slide presentation that showed the various phones and their vulnerabilities. IIRC, the main things were some issue with the number of allowed log in attempts when all the mobile devices are in the initial boot lock versus regular lock state. The other was how the default USB behavior is handled in the locked state. These are default locked down in Graphene. Additionally, there are tools like a second lock screen password that factory resets the device completely in the background, and automatic reboots so that the phone goes into the initial boot locked state regularly.
If they can’t get into the device, they will probably just steal it.

All of this can be bypassed on most devices except Graphene OS using the tools they now have available.

You are better ordering from neither. Amazon group batches their inventory. Their “sellers” appearance is just a price fixing scam. There is no way to trace the stuff Amazon sources to any specific seller. So everything from them is sketchy. The same applies with eBay. Most people are legitimate, but there is no effective way to tell who is or is not legitimate.
There are two ways of looking at this. One, assuming you will install Graphene, the way Graphene uses the Trusted Protection Module TPM chip is to not trust any unregistered code. So a person will not be able to do much to the device to compromise it as far as I am aware. This is conventional type attacks. The second way is more abstract of what is technically possible but improbable and probably never happens in the wild. For instance, one unlikely aspect to be attacked may involve the modem. I am not certain what the Pixel’s actual architecture involves between the SoC and peripherals. Often, the modem on mobile devices is another sophisticated microcontroller. This is capable and entirely independent compute device. The OS is interfacing with some kind of API, but is not privy to what is actually running on this hardware. If it was eavesdropping and communicating over cellular or WiFi, you would not know about it. These devices are undocumented and proprietary hardware too. The orphan kernel scam used to artificially depreciate hardware is based on the proprietary undocumented SoC and modem.

In most altercations, the first to use violence is the likely winner. Unless you walk around with a knife in hand all the time, it is unlikely to make a difference. Even then, you must always be prepared because even holding a knife, you have blind spots to be exploited.
I am tall with broad shoulders for my height. I think of my size as being an easier target for a bullet, though in practice I know that difference is rather insignificant. I look at displays of strength and force as weakness and fear. Even a kid can pull a trigger.
I primarily fear groups of stupid people, and the intelligent. I am probably biased because I am too large and intimidating to be worth the effort to fight, and have little that anyone would want. No one can fight off several attackers at once. The human propensity for dogmatic stupidity and confirmation bias is horrendous. On the other hand, I fear the domination of the intelligent, because the human capacity for cleverness is beyond the scope of anyone’s ability to counter.
In pretty much every situation, you are safer if you run. Instead of working on fighting back, having sure footing, agility, and confidence in your ability to run faster and further than any opponent is far more likely to save you. Your stride is much shorter than mine, but you are likely to be able to change directions faster than me and my momentum. Like in american football, I must increase the buffer distance before engagement when facing a smaller person in order to prevent them using my momentum against me. When I am all out in pursuit, it is the moment just before contact that is critical for awareness, confidence, and the agility to change directions quickly that will prevent me from catching you. It is also a mistake to assume I will tire or lack endurance to chase. You must have a stronger spirit than your opponent and the confidence that you can out agility them every time they try. There is no fairness in this type of altercation. I know that is scary. It is always better to turn to flight first in the fight or flight mechanism. Then come back with your fight when you control more variables.

I agree, but the tool is not to blame and never has been. This is not unique. The same thing was said with the advent of digital photo editing. Fakes predate that when people made them with film. In each instance, it is the ethics of the people that are the problem. At the deepest abstract levels, if you play out all of the implications, there is no difference between a tool and the thoughts in your head. Blaming tools is always a problem and only an illusion of a solution.
I have been able to edit photos like this since before AI, but have never done so. When I was a kid in school I drew stuff like this. So the problems is actually intent and social accountability more than anything else.
I don’t like that the issue boils down to this. I think it is ugly, but I think the alternative is far far worse. I think those that are pushing this issue are convenient idiots combined with people that are hell bent on a fascist authoritarian future that is truly horrendous. If posting dubious child nudes of me will stop fascism and WW3, what poses would you like me to strike?

It will culminate in revising “minor” to something scientific. Age is arbitrary and impossible for AI alignment to handle. Neoteny and the Tanner Scale is visually present and real. That fundamentally shifts culture in large ways because retention of childlike traits is neoteny, and the scientific definition of beauty. That is well outside the scope of Anglo cultural awareness, and will be hard for the Puritan backwardness to adjust. Like Riley Reid is so popular because of her neoteny. Even with actors like Tom Cruise, the reason people like ‘short people’ in media is the neotenous head to body proportions closer to 1 to 5. All cartoons are doing the same but exaggerated. “Minor” must be scientifically grounded better than the age when male children are large enough to carry the kit of grossly immortal mass murder orgies the halfwits call war.
Arbitrary age is irrelevant in purely visual media. Attempting to somehow mass surveil everyone to enforce it is dystopian insanity. The only solution is to be more scientifically grounded. It is ugly, and a bit ick, but whatever, those are illogical emotions fighting real justice and must be suppressed. Most countries like Germany and France have lowered their ages for minors. The only scientifically relevant ages are puberty and cognitive maturity at 25. Make it 25 and you will be supporting your kids until 25 financially, and the military will fall apart from people with the mind to question orders and think for themselves in mass.
Edit: To be clear, I do not want people fucking kids or what not, or exploiting them. I’m against authoritarian parenting by proxy with a state making up for terrible parents, but that is another thing entirely. I do not care about this personally or in justification of anything. It is simply an observation of inevitability as data expands and ages. Images in 100 years will still be around just the same. Their categorization must be derived from the pixels themselves. There is no other long term solution. How anyone feels about that is totally irrelevant stupidity and amounts to nothing more than stupid children putting their head in the sand and saying “nuh uhh!” Science and democracy are ugly. They always have been. If you cannot handle the ugly with the good, you are a fascist or authoritarian, and to that dystopian nightmare culture, fuck you for starting a war for democracy soon. Sincerely.

Probably contested region of Kashmir with someone in a mobile game, and a guy from Ukraine I knew before the war because we both made some similar uploads on YT. I got a book from a guy that I met on reddit that turned out to be the author and was from somewhere in central Africa, but I forget where exactly. As far as on Lemmy, this one girl from Turkey was fun to talk to. Most people here do not share that much personal information.

I keep separate devices and networks. It is not privacy as much as it is purging suggestive content and convenience. I only purchase something when I go looking for it specifically. I never browse or shop as entertainment or for endorphins. Investment apps are all about the stalkerware because it says you are a major target for unnecessary nonsense. Get a tablet and only use it for that junk.

Yes. Many. For a time, me.

People are a spectrum in all spaces. You are a product of your environment. When a person is racist, or prejudice, it typically means they are inexperienced and have a fear of the unknown with a fight preference in their fight or flight mechanism.
If they had the life experiences to have encountered diverse people, they would have realized there is no difference at all. If they are intelligent enough they will learn from the experiences of others with logical empathy.
Racism is telling you, the person lacks curiosity. That in turn tells you that they have not explored much in life and likely do not read regularly. They are not a life long learner and have likely lost the majority of what they learned in school. This means they are functional in their life niche but stupid and have no character depth. They may appear normal on the surface, but in the game of life, they hold a terrible hand and will always disappoint. Anyone that shows such prejudice has no real ethics or values. They are showing you their poker hand and daring you to be dumb enough to include them in your game. For some people, politics are a brand and team sport.

You have multiple devices and networks.
