My hometown is named after Christopher Columbus, and even we got rid of most of our statues of him years ago.
From Website Carbon:

Nice! Less than 0.01g of CO2 is produced every time someone visits this web page.
Holy shit! That web site lives up to its name! I want to redesign my site to be that fast and elegant.

Anyone who comes within arm’s reach of that man has the moral imperative to punch him. I’d like to see him get punched by some gold medal Olympic hockey players. I hope that’s why the men’s team accepted the invitation.

The PC Gamer article’s title also says “upgrade or”. That’s a heck of a detail to editorialize out of the title.
From the Mozilla post it cites:
After this, no security updates will be provided and you are strongly encouraged to upgrade to a supported Microsoft Windows version.
Or, if your current hardware can’t handle Windows 10 or higher for some reason, you can switch to a Linux-based operating system. The vast majority of Linux distributions come with Firefox as the default browser.
I agree switching to Linux is the better option. I want to try Bazzite.

I already assume everything I wrote on the Internet is eternal. Of course, data is free and people will use it for stupid stuff like this. This doesn’t surprise me.

Yeah, I just checked, and it’s still the 5th largest stadium. In the Americas, it’s only surpassed by Michigan’s and Penn State’s stadiums. I knew about the exercise field in North Korea, but it looks like a cricket stadium in India recently took the #1 spot in the world.

Columbus, Ohio resident here. We’ve known Wexner likes little boys for several years now. When Epstein’s black book came out, and behind the page with Trump and others was a full page of Wexners, Lex being the single most mentioned person in the entire black book. He’s the reason Epstein got rich.
For the past few years, we watched the Ohio State University build a 26-story expansion to their hospital that dwarfs everything around for miles. See that stadium in the background? That’s Ohio Stadium, the (edit: 5th) largest sports stadium in the world. And of course, last year, they put Wexner’s name right on top of the new tower in big white letters. What a slap in the face.4th

I’ve been using a Fairphone 4 for a couple weeks, and I like it so far. This is the way phones should be made. I eventually found replacements for most of my Google stuff. It’s just sad that my government burned our bridges with trade, so any replacement parts I import will be expensive.

Wired.com: You’ve read your last free article. Me: You’ve run your last Javascript.

This article is saying other countries should repeal their equivalents to the DMCA’s anti-curcumvention, just like Cory Doctorow says, and I agree too. The whole reason those counties passed DMCA-like laws was that we threatened to tariff them if they don’t. Well, now we’re tariffing them anyway. We’re no longer holding up our end of the bargain, and neither should anyone else.

If you haven’t played Threes!, do yourself a favor and try it. 2048 is a soulless clone.

Me too. I would say Pac-Man or Galaga, but Super Mario Bros. 1 is the oldest one where I’ll sit down and dig into it for a while. 40 years later, the character’s weight and momentum make it feel better than plenty of modern games.
This is a great example of community response that actually really helps people in need. If you organize something like this, keep it on the down low and don’t advertise it online. !Resist@fedia.io
