I posted about this exact thing over and over late last year. Always to tepid response from all but a few others that understand that in the US, privacy is a relic of the old world.
Glad at least Mother Jones got the memo.
There’s a ton of papers on Google Scholar that still include phases like “Let’s delve into…” That show otnwas used not to translate, but for the research itself.
And someone did replicate this, and ChatGPT 4o, o1, Claude and Grok all came up with the same formula for an “easy” way to calculate tariffs.
Remember kids, tell Grandma and Grandpa that only fraudsters complain about missing a check so that when DOGE fucks this up, it’s the victims’ fault.
This saves you the hassle of helping your grandparents trying to log in to their account because they are fraudsters for having problems.

I’ve recently started listening to classic C2C episodes, and in hindsight, WOW, it was so much BS. Like, sooooo much. I’m fairly tolerant to woo, but there just so much hyped made up whole cloth.
Literally the farthest the conspiracy theories went in 2012 is where we’re headed. Martial law, false flags, posse comitatus, seizing guns.
OK, well let’s see how it plays out in 20 years and see where things go.
