It’s really great news. I hope so much that they don’t limit this to the flag ships. we already have expensive phones by Google. Most people I know that care for privacy including myself don’t want to play ego shooters on their mobile. We want a reliable device that is secure and can do the basic things.

But you know the product and that is what is important for advertisers. Also it’s important what happens subconsciously, not so much your first reaction to it.

Just a week ago I got victim of Amazon dropshipping on eBay. The product was delivered by and from Amazon, but the ebay seller used a weird tracking service so it isn’t too obvious. He put the 5€ difference directly into his pocket. I complained to eBay, but they decided “based on automation and the use of artificial intelligence”, that no rules were broken. So be careful with using eBay as an alternative. Negative reviews can be more or less easily removed on eBay, better give a neutral review in these cases.

Honestly, I stopped buying on Amazon 3 years ago. Apart from an enshittified experience I don’t want to pay for Jeff Bezos next Helicopter. I go to the store or buy on alternative web sites which are 10€ more expensive, but fuck Jeff.

I don’t judge, I just don’t understand. At this level, you need way more skills to keep your Windows account local than installing Linux with their GUI wizard. I understand some people need Windows professionally for Photoshop, but I guess the large majority doesn’t. If you read this Windows user, now is the time. Trust me, you will experience a level of freedom and performance you would have never thought of.

I am usually not that guy, but honestly, why not just install Linux Mint at this point

I mean instances are typically run by volunteers, the sh.itjust.works admin is a pretty nice guy as far as I know. Report it in their main community and see if they can fix it. Ideally it makes sense to divide districts based on population. But the elections system in the US has so many flaws, it feels like optimizing at the wrong position.

I mean if you subsume the votes under the “state level” in a first step, wouldn’t it be logical to go the next step subsume under county level (or whatever your administrative units are being called)?

Division based on population can never be stable because people are moving, so I feel this is the wrong metric in the first place.
