I used to do elder care, and this in particular could be an early sign of dementia.

No, they’re going back to vomit flavor chocolate. There was a recent change that made it even worse, and they’re undoing it.

I guess theres another reason picture books for babies are also called “board books”.

Yeah, my house is completely linux except for one windows machine. I need to be able to open other people’s Adobe files for editing, and that’s just not reliable outside of windows/mac.
But, if I was only working on my stuff and didn’t have to integrate into outside workflows, I wouldn’t be so adverse to switching to GIMP or Krita.

Huh, yeah. I wouldn’t consider that furry or anthro.

I suspect that you consider your avatar bestial, but I would consider it anthro because it’s a canine doing a human thing.
I don’t know how finely the mods split the hair, but animals acting like humans is a commonly accepted form of anthro art, because it’s mixing human and nonhuman traits. Wikipedia even calls that famous Dogs Playing Poker series anthropomorphic, and it would presumably be likewise banned if it were digital.

Unfortunately, Digital Art doesn’t want furry or anthro art.
Since English isn’t your first language, you may not be aware that “anthro” art is when it’s part human, part nonhuman, which is why your art keeps getting taken down. You may have better luck on !artshare@lemmy.world
Disclaimer: I do not mod either of those communities and can’t do anything about this.

I say “thank you, I try” and blow them a flirty kiss.

Whoop whoop!

Hey, burnt offerings were made to the gods of old, right?

A similar thing happened to an observer I know in NW Washington the other day too. They realized where ICE was going and bailed, but ICE waited outside their house for hours before giving up.

Drives me insane. Like, you mother fuckers aren’t here to get a grade, you’re here to learn this shit so you know what to do when you see it in whatever hospital hires your dumb ass.
This is happening because the job market is absolutely fucked. Students are under the impression that grades are what will drive job prospects, because nobody is hiring on merit any more.
My SIL has been a nurse in the cardiac surgery department for nearly a decade, and even her hospital is now using AI to screen potential new hires.
We’re so cooked.

True, assuming this is rational behavior. People can do some pretty crazy things out of hubris or pressure though.
I’m not going to definitively state that Jeffery isn’t dead. It really is most plausible that he died that night. I just, wouldn’t be surprised if he showed up alive.

I’m not sure what incentive he’d have to both lie about identifying his brother’s body and making so much noise about it being a murder…
Remember that he was deeply involved in Epstein’s businesses, including holding the position of president over the J Epstein & Co investment firm.

I strongly suspect that this sort of thing is done as a gradual rollout to gauge response. You may have just been lucky enough to avoid being sorted into a test group.

I dunno, sometimes I want to see discussion about something I’ve already seen, but don’t want to see again. I watched the video the day of, and will gladly talk or joke about it, I just want to choose when and where I refresh my memory of it.
Tangentially, I wish the devs would let me turn off autoplaying gifs, for similar reasons lol.

Unfortunately, I can’t collapse individual comments, it collapses the whole thread.

My lemmy client doesn’t automatically truncate posts like some other social media platforms do. For sensitive stuff like this, just use the spoiler so people don’t have to scroll past a bunch of useless dots.

I bet we could convince the lemon stealing whores to join the lemon party.
That’s good then!
I don’t know if he has any hobbies besides getting angry at the news, but it’d help and give you two something to talk about that isn’t upsetting. I know you mentioned in another comment that he sees frivolity as a waste of potential, but maybe you could emphasize that he’s worked hard his whole life, and fun in retirement is supposed to be the reward for that?
What does he do for work? Maybe there’s a hobby that hits his dopamine the same way?
