I’m using a separate little laptop to chat, in this case, with Signal. It’s a little inconvenient, but on the other hand, if you don’t have multiple monitors, you are at least free from chat notifications in your gaming screen/window. :)

Yet another though, if you have an Android phone, just plug in a keyboard and use the phone for chat. :D

I just installed OBS - also trying out a few variants from the AUR - but it gave an error saying “couldn’t load frontend-tools plugin”, didn’t recognize/pick up the Steam and/or the game’s window, even though I tried the game in various screen modes, and WHIP wasn’t in the streaming servers/sources selection section. I did some limited troubleshooting, but gave up, because my friend says they have Steam too. We’ll try out Steam’s “native” broadcasting function later tonight and see if we’re satisfied with that + chat/voice chat through Signal.

But perhaps I could remove that which I haven’t watched for 90 days and whose share ratio has reached 1.0 or that hasn’t changed for 90 days. That way, I can enjoy having the files around and keep seeding that which has some popularity.

When I want to share files with people who aren’t technologically inclined, I encrypt the file and file headers with 7-zip, upload it to my cloud under a random filename and just share the link with the people.

Sorry for spamming. Got any insight into what specs I could manage with? I’m thinking, if I only want to mirror and/or aggregate some magnet links sites, I could make do with the bare minimum, right? Like a single core, two gig RAM setup + however much space a webserver serving text files would need? Ah, but then there would be considerable lag because of scheduling whenever more than one person tried to navigate the site? 🤔
