Yeah, they should shut down both. Honestly, X should be on the chopping block even faster that Meta, but Zuck seems committed to racing Musk to the bottom.

What does this even really accomplish? Obama famously pushed for greater relations with Cuba, and Trump reversed all of that progress. Trump is very likely to reverse this as well.
If it was actually something important, and it was something Biden could do kinda whenever, what is the point of doing it now? If Biden had at least done it when he took office, we could have had a few years fostering relations again. Now, we’ll be lucky to have a month.

People are hopping in to say this will be a nothingburger, but they’re forgetting something very important.
Donald Trump is a giant, petulant, attention-obsessed baby. The whole President Musk thing has been needling him. Fascists are about as easy to bait into infighting as leftists, and we’ve placed a lot of bait. This provides Donald with an excellent moment to betray and cement his power over Elon.
Obv the power dynamics aren’t fully known, maybe Elon is just an intermediary for Putin and Trump will have to just sit and take it, but I just cannot imagine Trump suffering in silence. Maybe this gets turned into an opening salvo.

But it is the correct answer. There’s no reason for her to be given any deference on this. The 11th district court has the ability to overrule this judgement at literally any time, and I hope they will. The only reason this works is because rule of law in the U.S. is collapsing.

I don’t think any school would be hurting on donations of religious texts. In fact, I imagine most organized religions would love the opportunity to donate a book.

because the goal isn’t for more transparency in their service, CTA is mismanaged trash rn. It’s to have less transparency, so less people realize that the delays between trains still have not returned to pre-pandemic levels, and likely never will.

The thing is, the boomers of the past were wrong because none of that media was promoting violence. They were making it up.
The Tiktok algorithm promotes violence as a fast-pass to fame. It rewards people for making abhorrent trends with clicks.
Finally, you can make the skeletons dance to whatever you want! and play it in the background of your low budget Halloween horror movies

This is kinda why using the pardon selfishly is always disgusting imo; it invites a constant analysis of “why did you pardon X instead of Y?” First Biden tried to make it “okay” by blanket pardoning a bunch of people, but that included a couple of people who actually deserved to be in jail. Now we’re at the stage where we’re looking at all the people who weren’t covered in the blanket pardon but were unjustly imprisoned.
It’s just a cycle that doesn’t end. I understand our justice system is completely broken, but it’s not like Biden attempted to fix it at all.

The bastards in power haven’t received any consequences for raping children, why do you think this would be a hard line for anyone?
Americans have shown again, and again, and again, and again that they do not value children’s live’s in the slightest.

Kinda different, I don’t think amateur porn was a heavy union scene prior to OnlyFans.

Jesus Fucking Christ. Imagine having to film the death of your brother, who you were talking to minutes before. One second, he was checking on his wife, and the next he was trapped in a burning car.
I cannot rationalize the actions of Israel. No one should be able to. Cruelty to this level should not be allowed, yet the Western hegemony is turning a blind eye to the suffering in Gaza.

The real reason America deserves to fall to fascism is that you still have bootlickers in this very thread pretending the Harris campaign really did all it could to win, and it was the fault of the mean, nasty leftists online calling out her support for a genocide that got Trump elected.
Nobody is gonna learn a goddamn thing from this election, just like they haven’t for decades. American democracy died before I was born, people are just realizing it now.

Capitalism: A Love Story and Where to Invade Next came out at the start of Obama’s era and the end, respectively, and both offer some criticisms of Obama. Of course, Fahrenheit 11/9 really lays into him, particularly because of Obama’s stunt in Flint, Michigan where he boldly tricked people into drinking the local water.
You didn’t hear shit because you didn’t watch his other movies.

Won’t anyone think about this poor innocent war criminal’s family!
The only tragedy when people this evil die is that they can only die once, but their actions caused hundreds of deaths.

If I remember correctly, the issue last time is that they wanted us on permanent Daylight Savings Time, instead of Standard Time. So I expect Trump to force the U.S. onto permanent DST, just because all science says it would be worse for us than going to Standard.

Wow, so wild that the agency you crippled with a nonsensical pension funding requirement is no longer running as efficiently as you demand! what a huge surprise, no one could have seen this coming!
Super cool that the Democrats didn’t reverse that insane requirement btw.

A rapist was picked as the person of the year? You seriously draw the line at murder but not rape?
The problem is really that people think you need to pay $350,000, but you shouldn’t seriously pay more than $40,000. Higher education as a concept isn’t a scam, but certain schools like the Ivy Leagues and private universities absolutely are. While there certainly are benefits to going to a prestigious school, most public state universities in the United States are excellent and hold good reputation. The quality of education you’ll get at a local state college will only be like 10% worse than Harvard or Yale, but will cost 10x less. There’s also the argument for technical schools or apprenticeships; while potentially more limiting, these also offer a significantly more affordable path of higher education for Americans.
While you won’t necessarily get a bonus or anything for having a degree that aligns with the role you perform at a company, you aren’t getting that job without the degree. College degrees serve as a way to move between the American de jure caste system; you can either work in low-wage jobs that won’t require a degree, or you pursue higher education to get access to the ones that do.
