Fun that you mention it, my DDR4 sticks run at 3200 MHz. So finding DDR3 sticks that run at 6400 MHz, and a compatible motherboard and CPU of course, would potentially be an upgrade to what I currently have.

Not sure if it’s a good idea to start at this point in life, especially since I have no friends, no prospect of dating in the short to middle term, and a carefully curated life to avoid the libido from making things worse for my loneliness.

Good to know, but I think I’ll need to develop the questions a bit to explain my expectations.

1. On most of the other Fediverse apps I’ve used (Mastodon, Akkoma, Iceshrimp), Lemmy threads are not actually threaded on the home timeline, instead showing every single individual reply as a separate repost. Friendica does manage threads properly, showing the original post and its replies as a single group. Does WAFRN do the former or the latter?
2. I could technically use a RSS-to-AP bridge, but in my particular case it would almost certainly be considered an abuse of the terms of service: I use RSS feeds to follow YouTube channels, over 1500 of them to be exact. Even if I spun my own local bridge server, that would mean 1500 local accounts to manually generate and follow from my main account just for the sake of notifications. Add 1500 more of those if the software doesn’t support Bluesky natively and I need to follow their RSS feeds instead.

Corporate needs to have somebody to sue in case of a policy violation. Very especially those debloated apps that float around the web - they need to ensure they have a physical person to pin the blame to in court.

Calling it already, one of the most popular apps around will be a wrapper around ADB in order to install new apps - maybe Shizuku or Sui?

Both developers have been actively hostile to DEI initiatives, and at least on the case of DHH, also coddling with ultranationalism viewpoints.

Considering that the two projects funded by Cloudflare are headed by known bigots (Andreas Kling and DHH), it makes me distrust Cloudflare even further.

It’s a bit heavier than I expected, but then again it’s a single-tenant instance in my case, so the impact is not as high. I do have long waiting times for loading though, despite of the optimizations.
