Even if it is available, the file name formatting is not as consistent as it is for TV or Movie torrents. Since songs are so much shorter than other forms of media that adds a lot of friction. Using a streaming service, self hosted or otherwise, is probably the better solution anyways.

Wall Street faced no consequences for the recession they caused and inequality has continued to rise unchecked. The actionable choice has nothing to do with voting. It has everything to do with organizing, be it in your workplace or your community. You have to create structures that can actually hamstring the power of the state to oppress you and those you care about. You can argue these are unrealistic or not actionable but history shows us that this is actually how progress is made. Even in the US the abolitionist movement, labor movement, and the civil rights movement did not win their demands through strategic voting.

If you want to argue that getting stabbed in the lung is more survivable… okay sure. But you’re an idiot if you think fighting back and trying to disarm your attacker isn’t the rational choice, especially when Americans by and large can’t just pick up and leave. It’s fight or flight but you’re here arguing for people to just accept their demise.

Americans on average are far better off than is necessary for people to risk trying to overthrow their government. Most of them still have a place to sleep and food to eat. There’s no guarantee that will remain the case indefinitely.

The choice between genocide and slightly less genocide is no choice at all. That’s like asking someone to choose between being stabbed in the lung or the heart. Both are likely to kill you. Any reasonable person in that situation would be doing everything in their power to find another way. Arguing that being stabbed in the lung is somehow the rational choice is ridiculous.

It’s not common knowledge but there is no legal requirement for either party to run democratic primary elections. They used to just pick candidates with no public input. They opened up voting as a concession to their supporters. However, they did so in a way that allows party officials to tip the scales in their favor.

The cruel irony is that the democrats actually have a less democratic primary than republicans simply because their voters interests are not aligned with the interests of party officials. Of course republicans party officials don’t care about democracy either but neither do their voters.

Never give a billionaire credit for philanthropy. It’s either a PR scheme, tax evasion loophole, or vanity project for them. You don’t get that kind of money in the first place by being anything other than a sociopath and that’s not something that can be cured.

I don’t think Billionaires like Gates were corrupted by their money. Rather, I think only narcissistic sociopaths care to do all the fuck of things necessary to amass that kind of wealth and power. Anyone with a conscious would stop much earlier.

Almost certainly the latter. Gates has some of the best PR money can buy. Every damning revelation that has come out linking him to Epstein has been paired with Gates admitting to some less serious transgression.

Unfortunately, I think most quality sources with broad coverage aren’t free. Even the paid sources almost always have a corporate bias. Of those the financial times probably does the least to editorialize. Beyond that I think you just have to find independent journalists or outlets with a narrower investigative focus that you can trust.

What are you talking about? Presidents have directed the DOJ to look into specific crimes and even have created special investigatory tasks forces all the time. Obama did exactly that after 2008 in order to investigate financial fraud. Don’t you think that a child sex trafficking ring involving some of the US’s most rich and powerful people, including former presidents, deserves to be prioritized in the same way?

At the very least Biden is responsible for appointing Merrick Garland of all people. Remember this was after Epstein’s apparent “suicide”.
