Ugh, you’ve never had to be around jeep peeps, then. They’ll start bragging about their dana 44 axles while babying the car down a graded gravel road. /eye_roll
Time to stop using lemmy.world communities, fellas.

Lol, ranges aren’t necessarily any better. Hopefully they have someone enforcing safety rules, but there are a great deal of them that are in suburban areas, and even the rural ones can be within striking range of homes.
Thanks, I will.
My favorite part about the continuous monitors is that they really show the incompetence of the clinics that are supposed to be managing us diabetics. There is a freaking option to share the data with your doctor (this is dexcom’s system thingie), but mine just asks for my account information so they can login with that and get the data. Like, whyyyy?!? You could manage all of us from one account rather than logging in a thousand different times.
Then we get to the bullshit terms and conditions, where the real hate begins… fucking device maker can go hog wild with all of our data and share it with whomever they want. Can’t use the device, after all, unless you agree to it. HIPAA is basically dead at this point.
Oh, and I also know from firsthand experience how much the cheaper devices can suck. The tandem pump drives me low just about every day. It absolutely blows balls at using the readings from the continuous monitor, while omni and medtronic do just fine.

I’ll just sit back and observe that with interest, thank you.

Not the rich kid. More like the government/republikidfucker plant. Notice how every post he made has some mentioning of under the table or off the books or without a permit? He’s trying to get ideas planted about how these workers are shoddy and doing illegal things and undercutting real, licensed, above board workers.

Free guns, everybody! Anybody know how the weapons are actually handled? Is there a central point where they show up to each day and are given a gun, or do they keep them on them at all times?
Aw, that makes me sad that I never got that. We just had the example in our textbook be a cop at a tollway.
Lol, wikipedia in regards to math is always fucky. I love statistics and calculus, and I still struggle through their pages.
Simply follow the big money. He’s got more net worth now than when he said he would start donating.

If you’re going to be firing while reloading, you aren’t going to hit much. Practicing your reload can get it to a speed where the time of the loss of your ability to fire is almost indistinguishable from the time it takes you to get your gun accurately back on target after a shot.

I try not to think about it too much if it’s something that isn’t something that I need to interact with, like orange juice or bacon, both of which I avoid, because, yeah, it is terrifying. Advertisements are real life attempts to shape the behavior of the world.

Lol, I picked the name because of its effect on my life. I had a family member who would only eat their bacon if it was nearly burned, and so I have very strong memories of the horrible nature of bacon as a kid.

They had it on the tv when I went to lunch a few weeks ago. Watching it was way better than any of the sports on the other walls.

My friend is super into star trek and convinced me to watch some with him. I’d say go look up a ‘top 5’ of the OG star trek, watch those, then do what the others have suggested.

Bluey is fantastic. My partner is from australia, and every time we are waiting in a pediatrician’s waiting room, we love it when it’s on the telly. He says he could start a side business smuggling bluey items from oz to here.

I honestly think the bacon thing was an advertising push; one that gained its own momentum. If I remember something interesting, it’s that the original bacon advertising campaign over a hundred years ago was one of the most successful advertising campaigns in its long term effects on the ‘culture’ of american breakfast. Then there was another push with it to become a ‘premium’ addon in culinary circles in the 90s-00s.
There is definitely something odd about meat in people’s minds, though, you’re right. I’ve never heard of anyone, even italian chefs, caring about whether a pasta must be cooked al dente to be done right, but every idiot and their cousin will tell you they know exactly how a steak must be cooked, and everyone else is wrong, and not only wrong but a terrible savage for thinking differently.

While true, fuck texas, it’s not like there’s any other state that doesn’t have the same laws on the books. In fact, I bet they have their own stupid little shit that’s unique to them that’ll get you pulled over.

I think I could honestly get away with 128 deep paths. I don’t use more than twenty unique folders in my day-to-day computing. It might be difficult to get the various programs on board with my trans porn name for each folder, but that’s what tinkering is for, eh?
Holy fuck, I never realized all of that happened within a single week.
