Sometimes the worry about future things is necessary though. It’s just unfortunate that not doing that all the time is so difficult.
That’s only true if thinking stuff over is already worrying about something. It’s a fine line, I guess.

It doesn’t solve the album art issue, which also really annoys me. I spent a lot of time adding art back in the days of using that thing…
It probably also feels less premium than the newer offerings. It’s pretty old, irc I bought it in 2014 or thereabouts.
I still have a FiiO X1 (not sold anymore) it has very robust navigation for a device without a keyboard, and does gapless playback.
The newer budget offerings kinda feel like a downgrade.

They must’ve really done a number on you, huh?

Maybe look for governments trying to switch from Microsoft to open source alternatives for their digital infrastructures.
Not all of the European ones are trying to do that, but the ones that are, probably need skilled people to do so.

I’m one of the trans kids adults, I’d be fucked anyways. Just wanted to illustrate that being invaded, if you welcome it or not, is usually a pretty rough affair.
War is brutal, I don’t know if I would be willing to suffer through one, just for stuff to be slightly better afterwards, maybe. Provided I had the choice in the first place ofc.

I also don’t want to build gallows, it doesn’t matter who hangs really. But if someone else is building gallows to hang me from, I won’t be watching idly.
I’ll at least have to try to resist, if I wouldn’t I’d might as well hang myself now, or at least when the struggle gets to much to bear.

Germany’s government usually only does e-services kicking and screaming.

Yeah but any invasion probably pushes half of the country over the edge before the war would be over.
I wouldn’t wanna risk death and destruction for a mere potential 4" further from the edge.

The vast majority of Chinese citizens believe the government represents their interests
I don’t think that the belief of being represented is a good metric for democracy or actual representation.
It might be that the Chinese government is doing pretty good in that regard, but the only thing that metric is actually saying is that people are not disillusioned. Wether that’s because there is no illusion in the first place or the government is just good at selling itself can’t be seen from that data. Although most likely it’s a mixed bag, as per usual in life.

Is adb pull an option to get data off the phone?

I couldn’t live like that o.O last month’s download alone was 500GB.
With me using my desktop remotely all the time and all the other self hosted stuff I’ve exceeded 2TB of upload…

Androids storage doesn’t show up as mass storage since quite a while ago. Instead it uses MTP which in my experience is slower and way less reliable.
Maybe that’s also part of the reason?

Yeah, but that also means that China isn’t super trustworthy.
No one is super trustworthy if they’re a giant compared to you. I really like the idea of the EU and being a citizen has been a net positive for sure, but its systems are way too easy to abuse.

Same for me lol, ive been thinking about putting jellyfin behind a VPN again, since I’m the only one using it, and usually just at home.
The only service that some ppl actually use is nextcloud.

The bullshit jobs are tiring too though, after all you have to deal with a lot of bullshit.

Which one? I have an i3 mega s (I think that’s the name) and it’s pretty basic and slow, but built relatively well. After however many hours of printing some of the bearings have failed, but they were easy and cheap to replace.

Sounds really cool and useful, but wouldn’t we also need non planar slicing and maybe a 4th axis for the full potential?
Not really, the writing has been on the wall for quite a while…
If at all it’s the realisation that average people can’t really flee from it.
