Could you define what you mean when you say the word “art”? I think this may be a semantic disagreement. I think the people you’re arguing with are using a definition similar to “human creative expression” while you seem to mean something different.

Not all men are dangerous just like not all snakes are venomous. Knowing that some are dangerous means that I will be cautious around all of them until I’ve determined if they are the safe kind or not. The price for being wrong and trusting the wrong guy is too high.

I always assumed this question was referring to a brown bear - black bears are pussies and polar bears are instadeath. Pandas are adorable, obviously better than meeting a man. Other species are unlikely for most english speaking people to meet in the woods. Brown bears are the only species that make this question interesting.

Aren’t store brands usually made by the same manufacturer though? I assumed if the name brand stopped producing the store brands would too.

Which part do you need corroboration for? Most of those were statements of opinion. Is there one in particular you disagree with?

It’s entirely about self identification. There’s no gender policing, they just kindly ask people who start their comments with phrases like “as a man…” or “not a woman, but…” to refrain from further commenting. They don’t even delete the comments unless the guy keeps going. Even still, inevitably if the post reaches the front page all the women in the comments will be drowned out by highly upvoted “as a man…” commenters. They just want to have a conversation without being shouted over.

It will never be exactly the same, but I feel lucky to have found something that captures at least part of the feeling of what Reddit used to be like. There’s the potential for it to grow into something just as cool in its own way, or maybe even better. And for now, it scratches that culture and discussion itch well enough that I don’t feel the need to wade back in to Reddit at all except for searching for specific answers to niche questions.

Do you understand your opponent’s argument well enough to phrase it in words they would agree with? Because this seems like a gross mischaracterization that leads me to think you’re either ignorant of why someone would be happy he’s dead, or you’re deliberately lying.

So give it a try… why would a rational person actually be glad Kirk is dead? You can disagree with the reasons, but if you can’t even ARTICULATE them, I’d argue you’re the one who is either an idiot or a psychopath.
