My old friendships are maintained through annual city breaks where me and my rag-tag group of middle-aged food, beer and cocaine enthusiasts congregate for a weekend of laughing and talking shit. Usually followed by a week of abject depression and a few months of financial ruin. I love it.

Feels like if he could just STFU he’d be golden. I remember when he was widely seen in a positive light. He was practically messianic on Reddit back in the day. Then his innate pettiness came out when he called that diver a peado. It feels like his mask slipped then and everything after just reinforced the fact that he’s an unchecked and uncaring megalomaniac.

I watched this with my son last night. Quite enjoyed it. I find the cadences of the narrator’s voice oddly soothing, although ironically it sounds very like an AI voice.

I wouldn’t use my Amiga, ST, ZX Spectrum or Mega drive on anything other than my CRT. They were designed for that pixel blur and playing on a modern TV is just not the same. I hadn’t realised the difference it made until i tried it and now I can never go back to using an LCD for any of my 80s/90s devices.
However, beyond that somewhat niche use, CRTs are otherwise entirely pointless and basically a worse display experience in every concievable way when your source is anything produced after the advent of HDMI/Display Port.
Better check the capsule for kids first… “this is the one thing we didn’t want to happen”
