New? Maybe a Chinese scooter around here. Cheapest motorcycle i can think of is 5k not to mention all the bs dealer fees the bike shops charge. Then there’s the fact that auto drivers care less and pay less attention to motorcycles than ever before. They seem to have the mentality of “it their fault for riding a motorcycle”. Meanwhile you’re splattered across the road. I miss my bike but no way i’d ride around here.
I bought a trodon 2.0 when they first came out. It’s been rock solid. I also have 2 qidi max3s. They’ve been equally rock solid. My trodon is still reprap based and the wiring is proprietary so getting input shaping would take some work. It’s build into the qidis so i can push them harder. I haven’t priced the voron clones lately but when i got mine it was about $400 more than i paid for my qidis. And it was totally disassembled (other than the gantry iirc). Given that, when i got my 3rd replacement printer, it was another qidi. All these new printers are head and shoulders above the ones i started with (cr10, ender 5). I sometimes miss the tinkering the old ones required, but i don’t miss the failed prints 65 hrs into a 70 hr job for some stupid crap that was more prevalent back then.
These are preorders. They don’t ship till April i believe. They send a voucher offer a couple weeks ago. I have 1 ordered. Fingers crossed they are decent.

I think autocorrect screwed you. Qidi was changed to Audi. I haven’t used the q2 but my max 3 has been so solid that i bought a second one. Side note, i bought the kobra 3 combo when it was first introduced. It’s not terrible… i would go qidi over kobra for sure. I did get a centauri carbon for my dad a few weeks ago. He does hobby type stuff but has run it nonstop and it hasn’t missed a beat.
What’s your budget and target size? I love my Qidi max3. I just got an elegoo centari for my dad and so far it seems decent.
My 2025 ram has never done this… not saying it won’t ever but… we’ve heard the same stories about all the manufacturers.

I had a Lightning. Loved the electric part. Hated the software. The Sync 4 system is crap. Constantly locking up or not connecting. The intellisense cruise sucked. It constantly misread signs. Bluecruise worked when it wanted. The instument cluster went blank for a while. These are all known and documented. They sync issue is not isolated to the lightning. My dad’s 2021 f150 has the same system with the same problems. Ford has said “a fix is expected next quarter” for years now. Not that i will ever own a tesla anything.
Second the qidi. I have 2 max 3s and love them.

I had to cut my printing speed back to keep from warping. I don’t recall what i changed it to but it’s roughly half what i printed pla with.
Second the qidi. Of all my printers it does the best job. My trodon 2 does a great job but isn’t worth the price difference.

Your post said a few thousand. My point was there is no bike for a few thousand anymore. Even the Honda Rebel is insane. Dealer fees on a bike are crazy. Assembly, inspection, pleasure of us fucking you over fee. It’s ridiculous. As to others being unsafe. That’s a personal decision. The area i was in at the time i quit riding is pretty much heavens waiting room and those fuckers would intentionally pull out in front of you.
