Looks great, but i don’t think i can live without widgets. Especially for home-assistant and calendars

It depends. Do you consider Twitch’s moderation to be to extreme? They definitely wouldn’t have let this slide. I’m pretty sure they used to stream on twitch and got banned there.
Kick is currently very lax when it comes to moderation (it’s their niche, their way of existing even with Twitch’s dominance), and I don’t think banning channels promoting group punching a dude would be a bad thing to censor.

It’s a difficult situation to explain, and it will be even harder to judge.
What seems to be true is that they had a hold on him. They seemed to abuse his mental weaknesses, and regularly made themselves look like benefactor for “saving him from himself” and making him earn a lot of money.
Sure he could have technically walked out any day, but when you’re under the influence of manipulative “friends”, I’m not sure it’s that easy.
Bear in mind that I’m not stating 100% proven facts.

Yea, but at a small company (~15 workers). It took a few weeks of back and forth because I didn’t have a real work-related reason to switch.
I’m out of the loop, what’s happening?
Yea they seem nice, but they don’t I don’t think they sell laptops with AZERTY keyboards
You’re right, all manufacturers have their issues. I have a hard time finding one where you feel like it’s a safe bet. Which is why I’m leaning toward framework, but the company is young and has far less experience, so it’s also a risk…
I would never again recommend MSI… I bought a 3000€ MSI Creator 3 years ago for work :
Reaplcing the keyboard requires a full body replacement, which costs like 300€ 🙃
I’ve also had some very bad experiences with a entry price gaming msi for someone in my family.
Why do you say that about the framework?

Bashtop if you want something more graphical

Sounds a lot like autojump

What I meant behind federation was that the registration process can be hard to understand. But you’re right, after passing this step, you don’t really notice federation.
As for the self fulfilling prophecy, I think you’re right, which is why I still try to nudge my friends towards mastodon / pixelfed. I still believe in these projects, but I also don’t think Bluesky will be too detrimental to their growth.

I used to think so too, but talking about it with a few friends that genuinely gave Mastodon a shot, I changed my mind.
Federation (not easily understandable) + Lack of users (and thus content) are the main reasons.

Since the barriers of entry on mastodon are too high for mainstream users, Bluesky is probably a good thing imo.
You can feel that he made good business decisions, but it’s pretty awful to be rewarded so much for being the root cause of so many layoffs, don’t you think?
Why is this getting downvoted?

I’m loving Zen browser at the moment

Guess I’ve only been supporting the 10%
You’re absolutely right!
