Idk I don’t really see much of a distinction really

Idk I don’t really see much of a distinction really

I mean, it would be a lot more reasonable if the entire tech industry hadn’t gone absolutely 100% all-in on investing billions and billions of dollars into the technology before realizing that they didn’t have any use cases to justify that investment.

You’d probably lose that bet
No it’s ok because they always say it has no place in the United States
Palestine is a-ok!

This is what all the people telling the MAGA crowd that there is no global warming are already doing

Honestly tho we have lost the social aspect of MMOs. Back when WoW came out you didn’t have shit like Discord, where all communication for every game lives now. At best you had TeamSpeak but for the most part communication was done primarily in the game. Combine that with zones and quests that have you killing the same mobs for hours in an empty field and people actually chatted quite a lot more than they do nowadays. We’ve kind of optimized out the natural communication in MMOs and idk if we’ll ever be able to get it back really.
At this rate? Leaving most of the internet probably

Yeah, you guys have a fair bit more than a “boring” level of corruption yourselves, tbh.

I worked (admittedly as a custodian, so not an expert at all) in close contact with people who had antipersonality disorder. These were people who had been convicted of sexual assault and had served a sentence then had been deemed unfit to return to society. I don’t believe any of them could get any amount of treatment that would have made them truly safe around others, even if they behaved well on their wards.
Mental illness can almost never truly be cured, and some people can be simply too dangerous to be allowed complete freedom. It’s sad to think about, but I think until we have a better understanding of the mind and how to better treat people with issues like this, it’s better that certain people stay “locked up” as it were. So long as they are given humane treatment and accommodations, of course.

It depends, I worked in a similar place and the people there lived in relative comfort. Obviously it’s going to be a sad situation regardless, as even in the best of settings they no longer have freedom. but to some of the people in there they preferred it. Many of them had their own collections of books and even some video games and the like in their rooms and they could do things like working at the canteen to occupy their time otherwise. For someone with very severe mental issues, living somewhere that keeps you away from the world and makes sure you’re fed and relatively safe can be preferable.

I personally recommend Linux Mint. It feels just close enough to Windows to be fairly comfortable to use. Customizing the task bar on Cinnamon still feels weirdly awkward and confusing though.

That’s a fair point, actually, repressed probably is more accurate for what your saying

Repressed gay works just fine tbh, most people probably use “closeted” but that’s more colloquial.
However, referring to a gay person as a “gay” can be a bit problematic as it strips their personhood from the statement. A lot of bigots will refer to gay people that way to imply they are lesser. I dunno if that’s how it works in other languages, but at least in English it’s generally more respectful to refer to groups as people specifically. So you’d always say “gay people” or “black people” and etc.
Which is why I’m saying it isn’t malicious on their part. Calling it malicious implies that they are ignorant out of spite. There are people like that, and many people who are malicious in taking advantage of them, but my 70 year old coworker who just doesn’t understand LGBT people and hasn’t talked to enough black people in their life isn’t malicious, just purely ignorant and scared of change.
They aren’t choosing to be stupid as part of some evil plot, they’re just ignorant and don’t want to change because they don’t think they should have to.
The problem is, a lot of the people who support these people are just… Stupid
I have known many a coworker who talked about voting for trump and every time I engage them in conversation about it I realize all their genuine beliefs are against the GOPs policies entirely. They just are scared of things they don’t understand and like them talking about how scary minorities are.

They’re not anonymous tho, the image very clearly labels who’s desk the vaping was detected at
You know they will, just making a good product isn’t enough, they need to somehow sell us more bullshit so they can make infinitely more money than ever all the time. So Logitech will absolutely go through with something like this
Veritasium partnered up with a private equity firm around the time his videos became far more sensationalist and I don’t think that’s a coincidence. His videos have become far more misleading and willing to stretch the truth for views in the past few years, so I simply stopped watching his stuff and don’t trust his content.
