  • Weird after decades cutting corporate taxes and taxes on the rich, society finds it is without sufficient funds to work properly. Whowouldathunk?

We have revolving doors of justice with serious crimes pulling catch and release games because the prisons are already crowded. Courts are underfunded, prisons are underfunded. Laws are selectively enforced.

I see a few ways forward. 1st would be to fix taxation. Close the deliberate loops and not only keep the librarians, but build a jail capacity that keeps up with demand. If the rich want to flee, fine let them go.

    1. Offer select prisoners the job in exchange for certain provisions, privliges and considerations. Its not like they got better things to do with their time.

    2. When we release them from prison, make the drop off points right in front of Canada’s wealthiest neighbourhoods. The people who caused this mess should have a keen sense of the consequences of their actions.

  • Kind of a shit title. Making a link as the study does, is not the same as causation as the title states.

Is it social media making people unhappy? Or is it youth who suffer the ills of stalled or rescinded educational opportunities, careers stunted, lifestyles inflated away, the property ladder was pulled up, precarity the norm and a dystopian prospect for a career in a world dominated by a rearming and war to deal with the fallout of ecological overshoot and climate change. Then with no job to do, they use social media to kill their days.

Yeah, anything to avoid the truth. This article is avocado toast levels of stupid.
