  • Mine works beautifully for petg but pla not so good. Trick is absolutely clean. Fingerprints are enough to ruin it. Keep using dish soap and be sure to rinse well with warm water. Forget about isopropyl! Use a fine dry microfibre cloth before printing. You can use a spray of 1L water mixed with a few drops of dish soap on the cloth but if the plate is already clean a dry cloth can be enough most of the time.

Finally make sure your first layer height is adjusted correctly. The plastic needs to he squished slightly more into the textured surface. If in doubt go closer until you are defiantly too close (like almost scraping) and then back up up again. Then you are sure.

  • I’ve literally used Linux for over 5 years without ever noticing middle click did anything unusual until a colleagues showed me he could magically paste things with the mouse and I had to ask how he did it. Now I use it frequently and love the feature. I just don’t understand how you “keep accidentally paste stuff all over” when I’ve never heard any of my Linux friends and colleges ever mention anything about it and like me they were supprised and happy when I showed them the feature as well.

Dirty build plate. Greasy spots causes the filament to not stick. Use a spray of soapy water and a microfibre cloth to clean it. Just water and dish soap works amazing for degreasing. No need to use isopropyl alcohol. Nozzle height looks okay on the front left I think. Maybe a tad too close, but shouldn’t be a problem. On the back it’s way too high. Make sure your bed leveling is a bit better

  • I I wrote to someone else here I don’t really understand Lutris when I tried it about a year ago. I found it a bit confusing on how to use it and gave up rather quickly because steam ended up worked for my needs back then. But now I want remote play and Sims to work and I feel like I’m starting from scratch even though I very good with Linux. Gaming on Linux is a whole different ordeal with drivers and compatibility layers and I don’t want my girlfriend (or myself for that matter) to be bothered by this when we just want to game.

  • I’ve only ever had the opposite issue with the nozzle being too far away from the bed due to the bed leveling using a dirty nozzle because the nozzle “cleaning” rutine uses a way too cold nozzle temperature so the plastic is not soft enough to be pushed away and the filament is not retracted so it also oozes because it has been heated for too long. Imo the printer should purge, then retract then clean and then bed level.
